Had a great day of fishing with my husband and the crew from champion charter fishing!! HUGE SHOUTOUT to Shaun and Dakota for making our trip unforgettable and so much fun!! Captain Luke and Dakota took out a group with only one person that’s ever been on the lake, one youth and one senior who was handicap. They put us right on the walleye In less than three hours we had our limit (81 lbs). We had the option to keep fishing however the waves were rough and temps were chilly but the fish loved it so we called it a day. I took my family of 6 on a 7 hour trip with Champion Charter and had a fantastic time!  Caught 16 walleye by noon. The bite slowed down after 10:00am but hey, that’s fishing. I’m hoping to back next year. I highly recommend Champion Charters along with Captain Hammer and First Mate Dakota.

Capt Luke, (Capt Jim’s son) took us out 6 miles from the boat slip. Within a couple of minutes we were reeling in our first walleye! The action didn’t stop until we had our limit and the Capt’s limit.  We only had 2 individuals on this trip, due to our friends backing out before the trip.  After catching our walleye limit, Capt Luke allowed us to keep fishing for catch and release. Capt. Jim set us up with great boat, accommodations and restaurant. Shawn and Dakota took us to Canadian side, and we were on fish all day. Limits before noon, plus fun conversations. Both working every minute on the boat. Plus country music on the way home.  Just Do IT!
