The captain never went out after Marlin, the live bait in the ad actually cost an additional $40, and the first bait stop we received 5 fish for $20.. 2 were alive 3 were dead. The dead ones disappeared inside to not be seen again… and only 1 of the live ones was ever used. Second bait stop we received a small scoop of fish for another $20. We spent quite a bit of time driving close to shore, the dust mate kept telling us the wind was too bad to go further. They eventually told us that the marina was closing and we had to head in. But then he threw the jigs out about 30 feet from the boat and let them bounce around on the water for an hour while he drove around. The first mate told us that the owner would refund some of our money since we didn’t get to fish for a full day like we booked, however, he claimed it was our choice to stay out longer and that 5 1/2 hrs was a full day trip. My math adds up differently to reach 8 hrs. But who knows! There was no cooler for a drink or any ammenities offered, but we did see cockroaches in the cabin 🫣 so that was gross. Overall the first mate was the only good part of the trip! Definitely will not be back or recommend based on their actions, I do understand weather is not controlled so that was not a part of my opinion. Happy fishing all!!
