Went looking for some surface action and found some. They were picky and we had trouble making the casts, but we caught a few spanish mackerel on casting metal. Then we went to look behind the shrimp trawls when the action slowed. The sharks were eager to play! We then pointed it to the house and ran across an awesome frenzy of 3-5 pound bluefish ravaging schools of bait in shallow water. We proceeded to catch as many as we wanted on topwaters and had a ball doing it!

Tried the same thing as the day before, but started where we had the best luck yesterday. Didn't have a red hot bite and broke off the nicer grouper bites. No cobia. Landed one throwback grouper then made a move. When we got to the spot, we started chunking menhaden and a Mahi swam right up to the boat. We were lucky enough to have him stick around long enough to present a DOA swimmin' mullet and have him hit it, hook up and pull off. Casted back at him and he ate it again! This time we hooked, fought, jumped and landed him! Then we ran in and played with the big blacktip sharks behind the shrimp trawlers. Awesome day!

Started off on the first wreck with some tough luck. Kept hooking nice fish and kept breaking them off in the wreck. But that's part of the game when you fish on wrecks! Made a move and limited out on grouper and caught a couple nice cobia all in about an hour. On the way in, saw a pod of about 20 common dolphin slashing through a baitball of greenies! Awesome day!

Fished about 5 spots and came somewhere close to 20 reds on gold spoons, popping corks, spinner baits and topwaters. Awesome morning! Tried for the sharks, but the cold front had them pushed back out in the deep.

We caught many redfish with gold spoons and popping corks and then threw a cast net on some menhaden. One cast and we were loaded up. Went to the Cape and set out for sharks and hoping for a straggling cobia. Jumped a few big spinners and lost them then got one nice one to the boat. The aerial displays from those spinner sharks was awesome! I believe the cobia are just about gone, but there are plenty of other fish to catch! Summer fishing is shaping up real nice!
