Booking a fishing trip online can be stressful experience - safe parking, safe boat and an honest captain are important.  The Blue Lobster meets all 3 - the parking is on the parking lot for the Panama State Police, Captain Gustavo is kind, honest and very responsive - and his boat is fantastic for fishing (I own a couple of boats back in NY as well).  The bite was slow (as it is after all fishing not catching lol) but Gustavo tried hard to get us on the bite.  Unfortunately even with live bait we didnt’ do well.  However, we saw amazing scenery, beautiful islands and the canal (we live in NY but are from Panama originally).  It was a great trip with a Captain that treated us like family and he is an avid fisherman such as us.  We traded some stories and lures lol HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM….we miss our Panama already and our new family - The Blue Lobster Family! :)

We met the crew at the public boat dock and headed out to the nearby islands. We had our first fish on minutes later, it was a big red snapper. We caught 4 red snapper, two yellow snapper and a broom tale grouper. All while we were trolling. I was also casting a pop bait and had a couple of rooster fish come after the bait. They took us over to the small community on the large island and we got a bite to eat and a couple of beers while they fileted the fish. We went back out fishing for another 2 hours and caught a bunch of Crevalle Jacks. They had taken over the water so we decided to call it a day. They were definitely fun to catch but they’re not a good eating fish. We had a blast and they definitely made sure we got 8 hours of fishing. Highly recommend these gentlemen.
