We had a amazing time and experience with Captain Paul! First trip to Lake Erie for our kiddos. Captain Paul worked so hard to make sure our kids (mom & dad also) had a wonderful and productive experience out on the water. He taught them (sometimes reteaching them several times,) praised them and had a tremendous amount of patience with them!!!! He was delightful to chat with while we took in the Sandusky Bay offerings during the trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better cat fishing adventure to end our summer break. Our middle child caught a 9lb 14oz 28inch channel cat that we recorded on Fish Ohio and oldest came just 1/2inch short with his white perch catch. We had enough fish to take home for a nice fish fry. Our youngest skipper on the boat took breaks and snacked, which was welcomed and completely understood. We will definitely be coming back for another awesome experience!! What an amazing time we had on this excursion. While we didn’t catch as many fish as we’d like, our Captain was so on top of his game that the time just flew by.  Captain Paul always made sure each person was safe and set up with the best equipment to catch the walleye. Being our first charter experience I’m my group is totally sold on this process. More importantly is that we will be back next year to do more charters with Captain Paul. For anyone that is looking for a great fishing experience with a top notch captain, look no further. He’s not only a great captain but super fun person to be around. My group will be talking about how much our trip was for a long time. Happy fishing.

Been fishing for over 45 years and this was absolutely the best experiance I have ever had with a charter service! Stayed at the Castaway campround the night before the trip, everyone was very friendly and helpful and Capt. Paul stopped by to greet us and explain the next mornings trip. We had booked a 5 hr am walleyes trip for 4 ppl, and left early the next morning.
Boat:
The boat was very clean, organized and completely pre configured and ready to start fishing as soon as we got to location. Perfect size for the 4 of us and very comfortable.
Tackle and gear:
Talk about dialed in and ready! Capt. Paul had great equipment and was ready with all the tackle the fish were biting on. Took him less than 15 minutes to determine the right color, size, profile and depth to get us on the bite. We were getting strikes during the explanation of the reels operation demo! The rods and reels are high end gear and worked flawlessly.
The Captain:
Capt. Paul is amazing, he is very patient, knowledgable, and an absolute blast to talk with! His teaching skills are at such a level, that as a professional technical instructor myself, I was very impressed. He loves what he does and it shows! I came away not only knowing so much more about fishing and Lake Erie, but also a wealth of adult teaching skills. If we had a public education system full of people like this, the world would be a far better place! He makes you feel very comfortable and was never judgemental or assuming. Guarentee you will come back knowing a whole lot more then you went out with!
You can be as hands on as you want, and the Capt. will be right there guiding you through everything you want to learn about. At the end of the day, he cleans and fillets the fish with you and makes sure you have lots of pics and vids of the trip.
Overall summary:
The trip was a resounding A+++ experiance! We caught tons of fish,my face is sore from grinning and we were absolutely knackered out by the end in the most positive way from the nonstop fun!

Adult son and I had a terrific experience with Captain Paul.  He was incredibly knowledgeable and, unlike many charters I have been involved with, he explained why we were doing certain things and how to bring in the fish.  On a slow day, we did very well.  Captain Paul was knowledgeable, enthusiastic,  entertaining and patient.  I have been using charters for some time, and this was my best experience ever, hands down.  I would even say that if we caught nothing.  Highly recommend Captain Paul!

We had a great time fishing with Captain Paul. He taught us a lot about how to catch catfish the right way and we had fun learning along the way. We caught way more fish than we thought we would and we even caught two trophy catfish that were huge. It was an overall amazing experience and we all had an amazing time
