We had a ton of fun fishing with Captain Paul on the 1st day of August.  August can be a tricky month to target walleye on Erie.  Thankfully,  the bait was still around in abundance,  as we had quite a few times of double and triple headers.  Multiple fish were spitting up bait they munched on recently. 
In 5 hours we netted close to 40 fish with maybe another half dozen lost in transit to the boat. 
Paul is an excellent teacher.  Even though all of us had some level of experience fishing, it was not specific Lake Erie walleye fishing, so he was very skilled at bringing us up to speed in short order.  He’s also about making the entire experience a fun time. 
I’d highly recommend Paul if you are looking for a skilled Captain in search of walleye near Sandusky.
Hopefully,  we’ll be able to get back together with family and Captain Paul in the future to catch a bunch more Lake Erie walleye and have a great time!

We had a spectacular time with Paul on his Pontoon boat. Altogether there was six of us. This was a trip that could be enjoyable for adults and/or kids at all experience levels. Our trip consisted of two adults and four kids aged 10-14.

Paul was personable and great with giving tips, baiting the lines, betting the fish, and he was quite a knowledgeable captain. Multiple photos and videos were also a surprise part of the deal. It was such a relaxing time on the lake that catching 45 fish was just a bonus.

I highly recommend using Paul and plan on spending time with him on the lake again in the future.

My son and I recently had a 6 hour fishing charter with captain Paul for catfishing.
I have been on many charter fishing trips on lakes and oceans and I can say with certainty that Captain Paul is heads above any other captain I have been on the water with.  His boat is fully equipped with everything for all types of fishing including bait and ice.  His knowledge of the waters and the fish is outstanding.  We were catching large catfish within minutes of anchoring!  My son and I both caught Ohio record catfish and we both got certificates from the state to record the event. While we were busy catching fish Captain Paul took many pictures and videos which he shared with us later.  He regaled us with many facts about the area history and also the fish spawning and movements throughout the year.  The last few hours we switched from catfishing to walleye fishing and again we were very successful.  He gave us a quick tutorial on planer board fishing to boot. All in all this was the best fishing experience my son and I have had in our lifetimes.  Bonus…..he also filleted all out fish after the trip was over!!
