I've been an avid inshore fisherman for years, i love it and have a strong passion for it. I live for sunrises and sunsets on the bayou and putting people on fish as much as I can. The enjoyment I see from the people on my boat makes the work I do all worth the while.

    great trip despite weather

    Red Snapper trip2 adults

we had fun, despite the weather spitting rain at us half the time. caught some stuff we have never hooked before, so that is a plus. and have a “fish that got away story” to boot.

What's biting with Reel Southern Fishing Charters in St. Bernard

Fall fishing begins and it's all about light tackle and natural bait. This is the best time to target schools of Trout. Fishing for Specks in Shell Beach can be especially fruitful.

Redfish Mecca in Shell Beach, Louisiana!

May 7, 2026 • St. Bernard
I had this north mississippi group down to fish and as luck would have it. The winds were up and it was a slight mist all day. They said they were game and ready to fish either way. We took off to the north to the ponds on the inside. Working clean moving water throwing popping corks with live shrimp. We fished islands, loose grass, and points on long stretches of banks. We caught all different sizes of redfish. After the first hour we were limited our

Fishing is insane rite now!!

May 6, 2026 • St. Bernard
Fishing just cant get any better down here in Shell Beach, Louisiana rite now. Snapper season is here as well. This trip we took off headed tk the trout gorunds but they asked me if we can just go catch redfish all morning. I said sure, lets go. We went to the inside marsh and found a bunch of clean, moving water. We tied on popping corks with a 2ft leader tied to a kahle hook with live shrimp. We fished each and every point we could, finding 3 to 5 fish per point. It didn't take long to get to thier limit then caught and released until they called it quits. Ive got even dates this week, and dates available for June and july! Get on the books soon.

Stellar Day Down In Shell Beach, Louisia

Mar 16, 2026 • St. Bernard
I had one of our repeat customers come in for an absolute Speckled Trout smackdown. The tide was falling until around 9am so we had to get after it early before it shut down. We got to our first spot set up on a beautiful tideline going into a cut from a little bay and started outtingba few trout in the boat aling with some big Louisiana bull redfish. I ended up sliding over some to sit in a corner tight up against the bank and let the tide pass me by on the outside. We threw our artificial baits under a cork into the middle of the bay and started flipping in trout one after another over the gunnels of my 26ft bluewave until they finally shut down. The fishing is on rite now, dont miss out on all the action goin on down here. Call soon to reserve your dates!!

Day #✌? for the Virginia Crew

Mar 13, 2026 • St. Bernard
Day number 2 for our Virginia crew and they wanted to go target big fish for a catch and release day to finish thier trip. Man what a day we had to. These are just a few pictures that we took but there was plenty more caught and released that morning. Big beautiful sheepshead, black drum and bull redfish were bending poles and had the drag screeaming all morning for these guys. Dead shrimp on a Carolina rig about 10ft off the bank was the ticket this morning. The tide was rising hard so we had to up our wieghts to stay on the bottom to keep the bait in the perfect strike zone.

Welcome back to Shell Beach, Louisiana

Mar 11, 2026 • St. Bernard
I had this customer who fished with me back in 2017 come back with his frinds for another unforgettable trip doen here in Shell Beach, Louisiana! Jim came by himself the first time and thsi time he broyghy some friends and ended up saying this will be an annual trip from now on out. We went after speckled trout the first day and absolutely hammered the fish. We were throwing artificial baits under a cork picking off tidelines with bait popping off them. The bait has showed up early this year and I couldn't be happier. The water temps are warming up with everyday that passes so that means topwater season is amongst us. Dont miss out. Call soon for more info or to book your trips today!!

CAPTS MEETING DOWN AT THE BEACH

Oct 2, 2025 • St. Bernard
I had a 2 boat group fly into New Orleans and bokked a trip with us. Welp i guess they had a little to much fun downtown and were a no show. So me and Capt. Mike were already up and ready to go so we went out on a grocery haul and scouting trip. We poked around several different places and loaded uo our limits with a few extra langiappe fish to go along with the box. We found fish just about all over, after all we are in kne of the best times of the year for fishing. We are one cool front away from busting this fishing wide open down here. Dont miss out, call soon to reserve your dates!!
