This was my favorite experience I’ve had in Montauk. Captain Ron is an expert fisherman who has seen it all. We went on a full-day shark trip but it ended up being so much more. Ron was great to talk to and we had a lot of fun. We were able to hook a blue shark but also had a great day of fishing for blue fish and stripers. I landed a trophy striper and was also able to keep a smaller one that I plan on grilling later today. Ron is a really good man who knows where the fish are and I hope to book him again for a trip next summer. I highly recommend his charters!

Caught tons of fish. Insane amount. Took great care of us. Super flexible.  Great communication.

I just reread the description of the boat. It’s deceptive.  There is no inside as is advertised. There is no shade cover. You are outside in the sun at all times. There is no inside bunk room that was offered in the advert. There was no crew. He is a one man show with no first mate .  He sets up your jig while driving and therefore only one pole is in the water till he sets up the other one.  The address is wrong on the advert. He is a hard working good man. He knows his fishing.  It was a 6am charter and he showed up at 5:54 am. I’ve never beaten the captain to the boat in the morning before.  It’s a good deal at $650 per half day but the boat is only good for two people. Anymore people and it’s not comfortable. Bottom line is he’s good. I’d recommend him but it is stream lined fishing. Nothing easy or comfortable about it.  But he found fish. Untangled the lure. Is easy going , friendly and smart. For a budget day out it’s a good no frills deal.

Had a full day shark fishing trip with Captain Ron, had a great day with my 3 friends. Ron knew right where the fish were and was very friendly and patient with my friends who weren’t the most experienced anglers.

Had a great time pulling up sharks, once we had the chum in the water they keep coming and coming, and had great rods and Penn reels to battle them with.

Will definitely be returning some time again when I’m in the area.

We had a traditional July 4th fishing with Captain Ron.  He has 49! years of experience in this business and he is a real professional.  We caught a bunch of stripers including shorts (around 26”) and longs!  (38” and 40”),  which we released by Captain’s instruction in accordance with regulation.  We however brought a couple of stripers, blues and porgies to our home.  Thank you Captain Ron for giving us such a great 4th!
