Gentlemen book me today and wanted his kids to catch something bigger than a croaker. It first book the soundtrack and I got him to book the ocean trip. When we got out there we went ahead and caught what was abundant which was ribbon fish and after they each had one then I took them to a wreck so they could catch trigger fish. Since the drum was not running at that time that was my only alternative for them to catch something bigger than a croaker. With a nice Northeast wind blowing the drift was 1.8 knots and we couldn't sit on the wreck to catch what we wanted but after three drifts we ended up with two triggers. Not a big abundance of fish but we did make the man's wishes.

Had the group today that when they got on the boat the mother said we've been here before. Ask what do you mean and she pulled out her phone and showed me a photo from 2020. She said we haven't been back down in a while but wanted to make sure we went out on the boat with you. So we went out in the ocean and was catching ribbon fish when most of the charter boats that are in the Pirates Cove Bill fishing tournament come in and it turned the calm day into such a rough area that one of the kids got sick on the boat. So we went inside to the sound and anchored up and flat water and let them drop bottom rigs down and catch a bunch of little fish. All in all a great trip and they already want to book for next year I love my job!

We had a wonderful group today that just wanted to get out on the water and catch some fish. So they booked us for the sound trip and we started out with a troll and caught one Spanish maple and then moved right into anchoring up and doing some bottom fishing. For two and a half hours I bet they call 175 fish! Anything from C mullet to gray trout speckled trout the pig fish. Smiles of joy and I got to watch a group of people that didn't know much about the rod and reel by the time it was done was casting a ride and loving life this is what my job is all about it makes me so happy.

The group that we had this afternoon did not want to keep any fish they chose our sound trip because it was a nice calm Waters and it was also a kids trip with plenty of action without a whole lot of keepers. So we took them straight to the honey hole and call a whole bunch of see my blue fish big fish and even a blow toad. From the moment we anchored to the moment that we unaker it was non-stop action somebody was always ruining it in I kind of felt bad for my mate because they probably called over 150 fish. Although my mate did keep some of the sea mullet that they did not want to keep for yourself. All in all the family was very happy and felt like they had a great trip and that's all that matters to me. Again I see a little boy that can't cast or anything and by the end of the trip my mate had him casting like a champ setting the hook ruin the fish in. That's what makes my job feel so wonderful till next time from the crew of the fishing Taxi be blessed and keep tight lines!

Our party today was from St Martin's. I sent message back and told him please do not be discouraged but we do not have the fishing that St Martin's has and he laughed said that's not a problem. I'm out for a bottom fishing trip in the sand and they had both plenty of small stuff and enjoyed their self. They were a great group and even though you can catch a Marlin 5 miles off the beach in St Martin's they were happy to see mullet in the sound. My group book me for a sound fishing trip and put six adults. After I confirmed the booking I sent message back and said just so we are completely understood my sound trip are mainly a kids trip. This is a trip that after the trolling part we go and bottom fish and although we might catch 150 fish you might keep six. He sent message back totally understand and it sounds great I said all right. The group got to vote wonderful people and I told them that it was going to be a absolutely gorgeous day with a 15 mile an hour Southwest wind in the sound it creates a one foot wave but there's plenty of Breeze on a hot July day. After no bites on the trolling part I really felt bad for them but they voted to go ahead and go bottom fishing so we did we pick up we ran into my spot with the outgoing turn it took us away from the edge so for the first 30 minutes everybody was staying in there not catching anything and I really felt bad so I got my mate to pull the anchor we moved over 10 ft into the channel and within 3 minutes of dropping a line in the first fish was called and it was Non-Stop the next two and a half hours. During this time I saw college girls that thought debate was yucky turn into beating their own hook then got to the stage of taking their own fish off the hook and then become from drop down casters to being able to cast. All in all doing all of this the father turned around and look at me and said see I told you it didn't matter and I smiled. Then I look around and I saw three daughters a son a father and a mother standing shoulder to shoulder for two and a half hours no TV no phones no stereo no headphones no distractions in a family bonding well by all means I consider that better than a catching a yellowfin tuna you don't have enough of that nowadays. All in all after 150 fish we might have had seven or eight on the DOT you'll be able to have a small serving of fish tacos tonight and laugh about all the pictures that I took of them but the main thing is they call a memory that will last forever from the captain of the fishing Taxi God bless and tight lines!
