Captain Rod started fishing when he was 5 years old and has now been boating for over 40 yrs. Most of his saltwater fishing has been done off the Oregon coast. Salmon and bottom fishing used to be the main fishery there. He became a captain in 2018 and moved to Florida to be closer to his son who has been in the fishing business for 13 years.
Techniques
Captain Rod does popping as well as drift, lure, and plastic lure fishing. As far as bait is concerned, he uses shrimp, pinfish, and squid.
