While down here in Florida for my family’s annual vacation, we decided to book with NSB Shark hunters.  Being an avid hunting/fishing family, we have always wanted to try shark fishing.  On Friday night 3/21 right before dusk, I had a big shark hooked.. I unfortunately lost it (I didn’t listen to the rules and literally reeled the reel the wrong direction to the point the handle fell off LOL not my best work 🤦🏻‍♀️) Dustin and Shell both agreed that was a first for them!  We thought that was it as we went a couple hours with no bites.  Then, around 10-10:30 my son also got one hooked! He did pretty well, but unfortunately that one, too, got away from us.  My husband and I gave it another go tonight, even after our epic fails Friday night and the ocean current/tide working against us, Dustin and Shell gave it their all to try to make it happen for us.  Unfortunately the night ended with out a bit at all, but we did see sharks out in the distance circling what we believe to be a school of fish (I even got a video bc no one will believe us!), some little crabs on the beach and some people a little further down on the beach had a few baby bonnet heads!  Although we’re a little bummed we didn’t get to catch a shark, we could let have asked for a better experience and we understand that’s the chance you take with hunting/fishing!  Dustin and Shell are fun, down to earth, and love to teach you anything you want to know.  They want you to be successful in catching one or several sharks during your time with them.  They are very generous human beings and we value and appreciate their time and commitment to teaching us, and providing us a good time, with many many laughs included.  We recommend anyone wanting to do this, to book with NSB Shark Hunters!  We will definitely be back next year! 10/10 recommend booking a trip with Dustin! Great trip for kids and adults. We went out with Dustin two nights. The first night, we had good bites and the lines ran but didn’t hook anything. Fish or no-fish we had a blast chatting and enjoying cold drinks in the sand.

The second night, the fish were biting!! My 11 year old son landed a 5 1/2 foot female shark! He loved watching the line run way out into the ocean and fighting the shark to land it. Several sharks on, and one happy son and husband.

Dustin was great entertainment and a great resource for local things to do. He showed our son how to tie a couple different knots and played with him on the beach… a great host while waiting on the sharks to bite.

Bravo, Capt. Dustin! What an experience! I visited Daytona with my family and, rather on a whim, I decided to take my 10 year old sons shark fishing. I contemplated giving it a go for sharks on my own without a guide since I am an avid angler with varied skills and I brought my own heavy surf fishing gear. But with experience we learn to “leave it to the pros”, and I’m really glad I followed my instincts on this point. Capt. Dustin is a pro at shark fishing, and passionate shark fishing!  It takes a fishing nut to really know a fishing nut! Having the tackle and knowing a good beach is a fraction of what Dustin brings to the experience. In the first 30 seconds I knew Capt. Dustin was a fun and engaging guy and within five minutes I saw that he was a passionate and knowledgeable and charter guide, confirming to me that I made the right choice for this beach fishing adventure by booking with NSB Shark Hunters. He and his first mate Shel have their program nailed down tight and my boys and I learned so much about the right ways to equip for shark fishing, how to hook, fight and land them (safely). Tagging them for the NOAA and Dustin’s commitment to careful shark handling for the health of the sharks was particularly rewarding. We had great luck with 4 sharks landed and several other missed chances owed to what I’ll shyly call my own “operator error”. So goes fishing, right? My boys handled the whole thing fighting 55-65” black tip sharks, and though not necessary we caught our bait while we were at it! The experience that Capt. Dustin facilitated was for me truly a father’s dream. To be able to bring such an adventure to my boys - battling an apex ocean predator with my sons - was a memory maker among the very best. Dustin and NSB Shark Hunters: a sincere thank you for being an educator, a good sport, an entertainer, and a heck of a fishing guide. Thanks my man! Tight lines!

Took my son for his 18th birthday. Him and his 11 year old sister both reeled in a Shark- hers was 6.5 feet and his was a little shorter. Both crew were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They made it an extremely enjoyable experience. In particular, they made sure both my son and daughter had the opportunity to reel in a shark and made sure my daughter didn’t lose her shark. We already want to go again!

We’ve been visiting NSB for 50+ yrs and wanted to give night time shark fishing a try. Had a great time with Dustin & Cole. We had a few good bites, just no catches. A beautiful night, bright shining moon over the ocean, good tunes, best of all met new friends!! We will definitely be hooking up Dustin & Cole next trip to NSB for shark fishing!! 🎣 This is your team right here, look no further!!
