It was a cold, drizzly, late-December morning. Capt Ryan gave our 8-80 years old group the option to delay or cancel, saying conditions were less than optimal, with a chilly breeze and fish not exactly looking to feed. But our time was limited, and our interest could not be deterred.

He took us to a sheltered spot and pointed out where the water was a little deeper and perhaps a little less chilly. Sure enough, there must have been a flock of Sheepshead down there, which we proceeded to fleece, along with a couple other randos.

We went with low expectations due to time of year and temperature but went away with smiles and a desire to come back in warm temps and have Capt Ryan get us out a little further and see what we could catch when everything is a little more active.

Highly recommend.  This was our 4th fishing charter in various places over the past several years. All about same time of year. We had 3 adults. Went out about 5 miles. Had to earn our sea legs. Captain Ryan demonstrated knowledge of the location, fishing tips, and flexibility. It was clear that he wanted us to have the best experience we could. We caught a lot of fish and a lot of variety (none of us can remember the counts)!  Trout, Bass, Sheep Head, Black Drum and Blues. We also caught 4 big Bull Reds in two different locations. Plenty of keepers for eating. We fished with crab, minnows, shrimp and mullet. Again, we’d definitely recommend. Tip: watch the forecast for low wind and gusts if you definitely want to be in the ocean. But even if they are too high I’m sure he’ll get you to some inshore fishing holes for a great time.

We went out on a day when the wind was howling and the temps dropped 20 degrees in a couple days… anyone who fishes knows that might as well stay home!!  Captain Craig took the time to find us a few spots out of the wind and told us let’s see what we can do….  we hit 3 spots and cleaned house!!  It was non stop action for the 3 of us.  Unfortunately my 11 year old put all of us to shame and caught more fish than the rest of us combined.  There was a dolphin at the end of the trip that turned what was a good trip into a great trip.  Captain Craig is a very professional, kid friendly, knowledgeable guide who anyone would be lucky to book. Thanks for a great trip Captain Craig!!

Had a great experience with my two sons, 34 & 8 (yes, you read that right). Captain Craig moved between the more experienced older and the novice younger with ease. It was my youngest’s first time on the water and he can’t wait to go back. I will absolutely book Captain Craig again. Amazing Captain, great time, and the most kid friendly fishing charter I’ve ever been on.

Wonderful trip! -Captain Craig was the best! Took our family of 5-mostly first timers-caught several sharks including a 5-footer! Saw tons of dolphins and a few eagles!  Craig was great with the kids and taught us a ton about the wildlife. He worked hard to make our trip great and it is much appreciated. 10/10 would recommend!
