Background
I began fishing the Flats and Back waters of Florida 20 years ago. I have lived in Florida now for over 10 years and spend over 200 days a year on the water in the Mosquito Lagoon and North Indian River areas. I grew up in the Pacific NW and fishing is some of my earliest memories. After college I went to work for Lamiglas, Inc. as a rod / blank designer. Lamiglas is one of the NW's largest Fishing Rod Manufacturers. After 20 years designing rods for Lamiglas I moved to Florida where I have been designing rod building components and equipment along with rod blanks for Mud Hole Custom Tackle.
Techniques
While I genuinely prefer polling flats and sight casting to tailing fish this isn't always an option. Weather has a great deal to deal to do with being able to do this. While my first choice there are many other methods which are very productive. In the summer months cruising the coastal beaches for migrating Tarpon and Snook is something that we also look forward to. This fishery is typically mid July through late September.

We had a fantastic days fishing with Todd, he’s a great Captain and very knowledgeable about the area he fishes in. Would recommend him to anyone. One plus is he is a fellow rod builder so you know the rods on board his boat are the best

There was a cold front and it was windy. We told him we wanted some big fish. Over 20 lbs. We caught about 10 fish all under two lbs. But we had an experience we’ll always remember. .We had larger expectations and the wind and weather made things harder for all. Thanks Todd

Brad,
first off thank you and I enjoyed spending the day with you, your son and son in-law. It was a tough day, windy and cold. Luckily we were able to put a few fish in the boat. Hope you all had a safe trip home.
