Perfect from pick up, care to go on board, on board service, fishing until return back to the hotel.

Beware of the crew taking your catch. We caught 7 Mahi-Mahi and after you take pictures, the crew suggests to take just 1. This was a great experience up to this point, and when I told them I wanted all my fish, the mood instantly changed from happy and friendly to somewhat tense. I’m guessing it might be standard practice for the crew to keep the fish, but I’m not having that nonsense. I was immediately reminded to tip the crew, which I was already going to do, so the reminder was unnecessary and annoying. The biggest issue I had was after all that, was one of my fish somehow escaped and swam back into the sea, because when I got back toy lodging, there were only 6 Mahi in the bag! I would absolutely recommend this charter, based on their work ethics and cleanliness, but the moral ethics and behavior of the crew, especially after getting is shady because they tried to take advantage and I cannot explain what could have happened to one of my fish.

We booked a 9hr fishing trip for 7 guys. Captain Francisco met us at the marina and explained how the day would go. He was very friendly and made sure everyone understood what to expect. Once we boarded the boat, the crew went through all the sandwiches, snacks and drinks they had on board and we were underway. The water was VERY rough. Easily 7-9’ waves, with some that were probably close to 15’. Once we got to a fishing spot, the captain did tight circles in a small area multiple times, actually crossing lines a couple times, but hooked into 2 Mahi Mahi within the first 20 minutes. We landed both fish, but had one member sick from the circles already. We threw the fish below deck of the boat, (which did not have any ice which we found weird for a 9hr trip) and continued to fish until 2 guys were sick. Decided to head back after a little over 2hrs into the trip. The captain and crew offered to take us to a sand bar for drinks and music but we weren’t feeling up to it. The captain then offered to pay for a nearby restaurant to cook one of the fish for us for lunch, which we graciously accepted. The Mahi was amazing. There was some confusion over who was covering the check after lunch but the captain squared it up before we left. I was a little disappointed we didn’t receive any of the photos of our group and fish that the crew took when we got back, so if you book this trip, make sure to take your own photos, and understand that the water out there can be VERY rough, to the point that all the dramamine in the world won’t keep you from feeling ill.

The crew (Guy and Carlos) did a great job and we caught some nice fish.
