Brad was an excellent captain. Caught our steelhead limit in the first hour and a half. Catch and release after that. We were a little too late for salmon but Brad gave it a good try. I chose this charter because of the previous ratings that I read. He lived up to the accolades. I will be back before the end of the year.

Brad is an easy going, friendly guy who is very patient teaching people how to fish for steelhead and salmon (which we never fished for before). He has a great boat and nice tackle. The weather was very hot (90+) but he kept trying different places to locate the fish. If you are going to fish the Manistee River, Brad knows the spots.

Brad was kind, courteous, and an excellent guide out on the river. I never caught steelhead before and he was able to teach us how to land these brutes in no time with some float fishing. His boat setup is great and we were comfortable the entire trip. Just make sure to dress warm like you would for ice fishing. If you want a great time trying out something that isn’t ice fishing this winter book a time with Brad while you can. I know I’ll be booking him again!

The fishing was quite pleasurable. We caught most fish in the early morning with still a little night cover. Thundersticks worked great. Then we moved to drifting beads and bait. Had many hits but was tough to sink the hook. Overall Ken did a fantastic job.

Captain Brad was awesome! very helpful especially with my dad who is not experienced in this type of fishing at all. we didnt catch any fish unfortunately but we hooked into plenty and still had a great time out on the water. would highly recommend making the trip with brad!
