- Welcome...I have owned and operated Gold Coast Charter Service, Inc. since 1992. I've been fishing out of the Port of Frankfort since 1978. I have fished many Lake Michigan ports and prefer Frankfort because of the scenery, good fishing and the proximity of good fishing destinations. Our family has owned a small house in Frankfort for more than 30 years and both my sons grew up fishing with me. I enjoy helping customers catch fish and also informing them of the local history as well as information about the freighters that we often see out on the lake. I think our area is the most beautiful part of the state. My boat was designed for charter fishing and is equipped with the fishing and safety electronics we need to catch you fish and keep you safe. To summarize, we offer a knowledgeable captain, beautiful scenery, a large safe boat and great fishing!
- Techniques
- We troll exclusively and fish up to 15 lines so we are able to target much of the productive water column to hook you fish. Our typical catch ranges from 7 to 13 fish but this can vary from day to day depending on a variety of factors including wind, water temperature, month of the year and general weather conditions. If we don't think we can catch you fish, we'll recommend that we don't go. We clean and bag the catch at the marina when we return and ice is available at the marina for a small fee.
