Booked a 6-hour charter and told the boys not to come back without a catch. Boy did they catch! All 6 of them (got to include the Captain) walked away with pound$ and pound$ of halibut ($$$). Far better than the charters booked in Hawaii. Will definitely book again with San Diego Charters -Captain Kevin is the best! Highly recommend. Worth every penny!

Had a great time with family visiting from the East Coast. We did a half day in the bay with Capt Kevin. We each caught several undersized fish, and one keeper, but had bites the whole trip. The half day was just the right length of time to keep the kids happy and occupied. They got to see a bunch of Navy vessels as a bonus. Capt Kevin was great, sharing his knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely book again next time we are in San Diego.

Had an awesome afternoon-evening trip with San Diego Charters! Captain Kevin was amazing. He takes it seriously and took the time to teach us all what to do and why we were doing it. He knows the spots where the fish are at and can answer all questions. We had a ton of questions and Captain Kevin took the time to explain everything, from the engines to the inner workings of the bay to the fish, of course. We were feeling like pros in no time, manning our lines and rigging bait. At first I was bummed we did not have time in our trip for the open ocean, but the bay trip was really awesome, you can see all the excitement of the bay with freighters, aircraft carriers, jets buzzing overhead and commercial fishing boats in action. Kevin provided everything we could need, all the equipment plus snacks and drinks. The boat was super big and comfortable for the five of us, with an inside area for anyone in your party who is maybe not so keen on fishing the whole time. Overall this was such a great experience with such a dedicated and knowledgeable captain who really cares about his craft. We did not hook any fish but had an amazing time nonetheless. We went in January and plan on coming back in the high season! Thanks Captain Kevin and San Diego Charters!

Me and 4 friends had an incredible experience with Kevin. He squeezed action and adventure into each minute of the half day. I highly recommend this charter for anyone looking to enjoy the day out on the water and efficiently hit a bunch of different spots. We caught some sizable sand bass and enjoyed it on the grill for dinner!

Kevin was so great with our kids, we moved around lots until we found some fish to bite! We contacted Kevin very short notice and he was very accommodating. We saw tons of seals up close and all kids got a fish. Super successful for us and I would recommend Kevin as a captain for anyone looking for some quality family time!
