Capt Paul did a great job putting me on the fish. The local knowledge he has was key to my success. I was fly fishing for tailing reds and he really knows how to spot them. I am a novice fly fisherman and he offered helpful hints that improved my odds. I would definitely book another trip with Capt Paul.

Where do I even begin. Captain Paul from Legacy Charters is Top, Top, Tippy Top Notch! There are really no words to describe our feelings about the Trip. Believe it or not my Wife is Addicted to Fishing and our Trip to Florida had to have as many days of fishing as possible. Everglades was top of my list and a little bit of a compromise. I got to explore the Glades and she got to fish. Win, win right? Well this trip along with my 13 year old son BLEW us all away. We started off in Flamingo Harbor and we covered so much ground stopping in several amazing places. Each stop offered a new perspective of the fragile eco system. Captain Paul taught us about the History and showed us where Ponce De Leon was shot by a Natives arrow and later died in Cuba. We learned about the wildlife and how it strikes a perfect balance if managed correcting. We caught over the slot fish in the Glades!

This trip was the perfect blend of History, Exploring and most importantly Fishing.

Paul Manoogian and Legacy Charters Fishing come with our absolutely highest recommendation. Neither my wife nor I is an angler, but we have always loved the Everglades, living close and visiting often. Our half-day charter with Paul was a chance to see and experience this beloved place from a new perspective. The morning we were set to go started off with a lot of rain, but we bumped the plans by an hour or so and found a four-hour rain-free window. [These conditions actually made for really comfortable fishing: Cool temperatures, few bugs, and fish eager to take our bait.] Paul knew exactly where to go, exactly what techniques to use and was patient and tremendously helpful to a pair of novices. We boated our limit of speckled trout and many snapper, as well as catching a releasing a plenty of snook (they were out of season) and other species. It’s clear that Paul would also be an excellent guide for more experienced anglers who wanted to up their game and add to their knowledge.

Along the way we saw crocodiles (this part of the Everglades, with brackish bay waters, is home to some large examples), dolphins and sharks. Paul was a great host – companionable, knowledgeable, competent – as well as a great guide. He ran a safe, comfortable trip despite challenging conditions (included a real downpour on our way back to the dock) and we knew were in good hands the entire day. Paul cleaned our keepers (of course we shared some with him) and sent us on our way with wonderful memories and great pictures and video. We’ll be back later in the summer for a trip into Florida Bay for permit, tarpon, sharks and other game fish.

One of the best trips we’ve taken in a while. Captain Paul was knowledgeable, helpful and extremely fun to fish with. He put us on big time and we caught everything we wanted to with every type of tackle. Multiple fish on fly and spinning rods. Would highly recommend!

What a great day, couldn’t have been better.  I highly recommend a full day, it only cost a little more but you get so much more.  More places, more fish.  Captain Paul has all these secret spots that hold fish that you’d never think would have them.  I got a Everglades grand slam.  Snook, tarpon and redfish, plus sheepshead, triple tail, mangrove snapper and jacks.  What a day !!  I’ll be coming back!
