We went on a half day fishing trip and were pleasantly surprised with our catch.  Highlights were a grouper and a mahi mahi that made it in the boat and a sail fish that jumped out of the water at our bait but did not bite.  We also had several dolphin sightings with a few that swam along the front of the boat.  Captain Luis and 1st mate Mauro were both top notch and very helpful.  The fresh, on the fly, ceviche dished up by the crew was a nice touch too!

This was a great adventure! It was a lot of fun for our first time. Nick met us first thing to make sure we got on the boat, and then we fished with Luis and Mauro. They were a lot of fun, they worked hard, and played great music. 
The Mahi weren’t cooperating that day but Luis and Mauro made sure we didn’t leave without a catch. We caught a few good sized grouper and some red snapper. Thank you Nick, Luis and Mauro! We’ll definitely be back 😊

We had a great time with our fishing excursion.
We got to the boat from a water taxi right on the beach. Wear shoes that you can get completely wet. We went pretty far out and one of us caught a beautiful Mahi Mahi right away. I caught another but there was a gaff mishap so we couldn’t keep it. However, the one fish fed 14 of us. We took it to the Green Room in Jaco, where they prepared it as a ceviche appetizer, followed by a grilled, blackened or fried preparation.
Dolphins showed up and breached over and over again for us! The crew kept us hydrated with complimentary soda and water. It was everything we needed and hoped for. We’re grateful to the captain and deckhand for the wonderful experience and recommend them for a reasonably priced fishing expedition.

What an amazing morning. Captain Luis and First mate Josh were right on time. Picked us up and out we went hunting for Mahi. We headed out 18 miles and started trolling for Mahi . It didn’t take long for Captain Luis to put us onto the fish. We landed a 47” Mahi within the first hour. Josh the first mate was very good. Lots of experience he kept all the gear organized and never took his yes off the gear. Our next Mahi was a 36” and once again Luis knew where to troll. Trolled out to a spot Luis had fished before and man what a hotspot. One of our guys hooked into a massive Wahoo, he fought that thing for a good 15 minutes , got it to the boat and it cut the line with its massive teeth. I had a good look and it was all of 60” or better. Josh said it was the biggest he ever seen. 10 minutes later Captain Luis put us onto a doubleheader Mahi bite. We landed 2 more. A 30” and a 46” . Man what a great morning. A huge thank you to Captain Luis and First Mate Josh for a memorable day. Very professional and friendly. Definitely will be back.
