My wife, my daughter, and I had a great day fishing and thoroughly enjoyed the company of the crew. We told them that we wanted to target fish that we could keep and eat, and they did a great job putting us on the fish. We caught a bunch of yellowfin tuna, a spanish mackerel, several margarita, and some groupers. They kept us on the fish all day, fed us well, and provided plenty of soda, water, and adult beverages. They also took the time to show us whales and sea turtles. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Fishing CR with Captain Luis and Douglas was a lot of fun. Through no fault of their own, the trolling bite for sportfishing was not good with the weather we had. But Luis pivoted, put my boys on the triggerfish, rainbows and snapper. We had a great experience and enjoyed our time. Luis and Douglas are hard working, kind and pleasant men. They gave us a good day on the water and we are glad we went out with them.

My son loves fishing, so for his birthday he does not ask for things, but for fishing experiences. This was one of them and our first time in Costa Rica. He really wanted to catch a sail fish and he did. Over the moon happy. We had everything that’s needed on the boat. The captain and his crew were very nice and helpful. We don’t speak much Spanish, but captain Louis speaks English, so we had all the basics covered. Food and drinks were enough. Had an awesome day and wouldn’t mind to do it all over again after my hands are less sore from fighting a 70-lb tuna :-)

We had great communication and a great time with Captain Luis and his mate Douglass. I asked if I could bring some of my own gear and they agreed. The communication was instant, unlike another charter I canceled. We planed out our attack for the day in advance. We hit the tuna grounds cough tuna, went deep dropping and got their equivalent to Rosie’s, caught like 10 tile fish, 4 blue runners, a huge Yellow Snapper and some other varietals. The captain put us on a lot of spots, if they were not working we were off to the next. We did try Rooster fishing had 3 bites but brought none to the boat. Mate was fantastic, was ready to run and gin and rig on the fly and also filet the fish after bleeding them while we were running from spot to spot as we were catching so many fish! Amazing trip and family operation. Can’t say enough good things!

Our family of 4 went on a half-day trip and started with catching some black tuna right away. After getting some fish in the boat, the captain found some feeding sailfish and we hooked up with four fish and landed three.  The captain and deck hand were experienced and professional throughout the trip.  We not only caught fish but also learned a lot as we were taught about rigging, baits, and the intricacies of fishing.  It was an incredible experience to watch them work as a team to spot and entice the following sailfish to take the bait.  They also expertly coached us as we fought and landed the fish.  To top off our adventure, we took some of the tuna to the local restaurant, Puesta Del Sol, where the cook expertly prepared the tuna two ways for our best meal of our vacation.
