My son loves fishing, so for his birthday he does not ask for things, but for fishing experiences. This was one of them and our first time in Costa Rica. I wanted to have a true Costa Rican experience when I chose Luis and Douglas as our guides for fishing. It was definitely the RIGHT choice. Amazing anglers that know just the right spots. I wanted to catch a sailfish, we caught a beautiful 10 foot sailfish. 2 this day! We caught a super rare Sunfish (a celebration for all of us!!) We had great communication and a great time with Captain Luis and his mate Douglass. I asked if I could bring some of my own gear and they agreed. The communication was instant, unlike another charter I canceled. We planed out our attack for the day in advance. We hit the tuna grounds cough tuna, went deep dropping and got their equivalent to Rosie’s, caught like 10 tile fish, 4 blue runners, a huge Yellow Snapper and some other varietals. We had an absolutely perfect 1/2 day charter with Captain Luis and his mate Douglas! From start to finish, they were helpful, knowledgeable, and incredibly professional. We were thrilled to catch both Dolphin (mahi-mahi) and Yellowfin Tuna—a dream come true! The boat was clean and well-prepared, and both Captain Luis and Douglas went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had a fantastic time. We can’t wait to book another trip with them. Highly recommend!

Captain Luis is fantastic.  He really takes care of his clients.  He had lots of water, beer, snacks, and sandwiches ready to go.  His boat is comfortable and has a nice large bimini cover in the front so you can get some sun or stay in the shade.  I had messaged Luis about wanting to catch a sailfish and he delivered 2!  We had great music and even had some dolphins putting on a show during one of the battles.  Great time and would recommend the charter to anyone.
