We had an absolutely perfect 1/2 day charter with Captain Luis and his mate Douglas! From start to finish, they were helpful, knowledgeable, and incredibly professional. We were thrilled to catch both Dolphin (mahi-mahi) and Yellowfin Tuna—a dream come true! The boat was clean and well-prepared, and both Captain Luis and Douglas went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had a fantastic time. We can’t wait to book another trip with them. Highly recommend!

We had today our trip with Luis and Douglas. To keep it short: it was brilliant! To keep it long: it started with 3 caught and 1 lost sailfish during the first half of the day. New species for me and my girlfriend. The crew did a great job. The second half of the day was inshore where I did light tackle casting with hardbaits catching 2 crocodile needlefish, 1 orangesided triggerfish, 1 yellowtail and 1 big eye trevally. Unfortunately I lost a good sized jack, but that is the risk of (my own) light tackle near reefs.
Finally 3 new species for me, great fun and a fantastic day with more than enough to drink and eat. Btw, those sandwiches were the cherry on the cake. Delicious. Thanks guys, that was really Pura Vida for us!

This was our first time fishing in Costa Rica. The whole trip was amazing. We braved some tough weather at the start searching for sailfish. Eventually we wound up in pods of hundreds of dolphins chasing tuna. We landed 3 and had some fun with sailfish- although we weren’t able to get them. It’s all a part of fishing. After we caught our first tuna the first mate sliced it up with some onion and soy sauce for some fresh sashimi. We also had fresh tuna sandwiches prepared for us and plenty of fruit and drinks. Luis and Douglas were great on the boat. They worked hard to make our day incredible. The whole experience felt truly special and traditional. We loved every minute of it. If you are coming to truly fish this is a great charter.

I highly recommend this charter. Communication with the owner, Nicholas, prior to our trip was easy as he was always quick to respond. We booked the all day “Tuna and marlin chase”, and Captain Luis and Mauro made sure that the charter lived up to its name. They were great (a pesar que el uno de ellos es del Barca, pero nadie es perfecto…😉). My kids had never been fishing before, but my son reeled in a sailfish, my daughter caught a couple of small black tuna, and I hooked/landed a beautiful yellowtail. Mauro made some sashimi on the spot with our catch which was amazing (the best fish my son ever ate per him). Apart from the fishing experience, we saw countless dolphins, two mating turtles (3 days!!!!), and Captain Luis shared stories of his experience fishing these waters. Truly a very memorable and special experience. We hope to return, and we would book with them again without hesitation. My wife, my daughter, and I had a great day fishing and thoroughly enjoyed the company of the crew. We told them that we wanted to target fish that we could keep and eat, and they did a great job putting us on the fish. We caught a bunch of yellowfin tuna, a spanish mackerel, several margarita, and some groupers. They kept us on the fish all day, fed us well, and provided plenty of soda, water, and adult beverages. They also took the time to show us whales and sea turtles. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
