I took my husband to Florida to do deep sea fishing for his 50th birthday. We were so excited!!! Then…. a wretched cold front came thru with high winds (30 mph) for almost our entire trip. First time to Florida where I packed winter clothes. So bummed! But Reel Tight charters went above and beyond to make this happen for us! They rescheduled the day and time for our trip like 4x to get the best day for weather possible. It was sunny blue skies but cold! Low 30s. The weather had the fish acting crazy! We even saw a little shark where it had no business being. poor thing was just trying to survive. The tides were wonky too making the waters shallow.
Being from WI, we tolerated the weather just fine. Our Captain was awesome! He tuffed it out like a pro and got us on the fish immediately! Due to the chop on the Gulf, the cold and the wind we were not able to go out on the Gulf. Next time! Still

had a blast and my husband loved it! Great company! Great business! Great time!

Never chartered a private tour before as a family (w/ 3 children), so we figured it was worth a chance to experience a very “fishy” time of the year near Sarasota Bay.  Our Guide Luke was super skilled not only in finding the fish but also baiting and controlling upwards of 5 active rods at once.  If a spot wasn’t producing a catch, Luke would be quick to identify it and we’d be on the move to another spot…we even got time fishing the mangroves and some docks.  The 4-hour tour flew by because it really was not-stop fishing.  Plenty of bites…and even had a few keepers by the end.  Meeting point was a breeze to get to, and Luke even prepared our catch before we departed the tour.

Would absolutely do it again!  My only regret is that we haven’t taken advantage of this experience sooner!

Andy was our boat captain for the morning. He had some excellent spots and didn’t get upset at my fly fishing techniques losing the fish. I’ve never used circle hooks before and lost numerous fish because of my habit of hooking fish, which you can’t do with the style of hooks used. Andy was excellent at coaching me through each cast and reel in. We successfully landed a large red Rish, which was right at the legal limit to keep. It was the only fish we wanted that day. He was also excellent in keeping us entertained with some good life stories and moving spots if they were too slow. And he’s even better at casting for us under docks. It was an amazing inland fishing experience, and I will for sure be back in the future.

We booked a 3 hour morning inshore fishing trip for us parents and our 2 teenagers. About 1 hour in with Captain Andy, the morning drizzle turned into a steady rain. We had caught several fish and planned to continue until it started to downpour with lightning. Captain Andy got us back to shore safely then we tried to wait out the storm. After checking radar, we decided to postpone it and Andy booked us with Captain Adam the next morning. The weather was perfect and Captain Adam gave us a great fishing experience! We caught a lot of fish, saw a couple manatees and lots of birds. Adam kept bait on our lines so we were constantly fishing. He was knowledgeable and fun. He filleted our keepers at the end so we could have them prepared at a restaurant to eat for lunch.
I have no doubt we would have had a similar experience with Captain Andy too. We had some freshwater fishing experience but would definitely recommend booking a trip with Reel Tight Fishing for anyone who wants a fun trip where you will catch a lot of different fish and learn some things along the way!

My wife and I had an awesome time on the water. The captain was worried that the wind was going to ruin our early afternoon on the water but he was still able to put us on tons of fish; and I mean TONS. I would highly recommend this guide service to anyone. 10/10
