Background: Captain James Kennedy's been fishing waters of South Louisiana his entire life. He's a native of this area and a Coast Guard licensed captain. As a young boy, he had a dream of fishing professionally. After many years of fishing in tournaments he succeeded in qualifying for the 2006 Bassmaster Classic and spent the next few years fishing nationally as an Elite Series fisherman. This was a milestone achievement he would always remember. Spending so much time on the Louisiana local waters, he's become an expert on them. Specs, whites and sharks

Mark, Brannigan and Frank the tank had a blast catching today. We left out at 520am to beat some heat. Caught 11 nice fish 30 minutes out and continued to box at every stop. Finished up with 40 trout and had a great time.

Breezy tuesday

Set out with the Moriarity team today to chase trout. It was a little bumpy in Lake Borgne but the breeze kept us breathing. Its hottt right now but the fish cooperated and we boxed some nice trout. And sharks. The bull sharks seem to be everwhere but they are fun to fight.

Big specs and sheephead

We left out of slidell dock and ran about 40 minutes. 3 hours later the rain was creeping in on us. We were catching some really nice specs and sheephead. What a great day. 45 specs 6 sheephead and a couple reds. Mrs Janet and charles had a ball.

Bull reds in venice

Went out on 5-28 to chase reds in venice. What a day this was. These guys caught and released several with one being 43 lbs. what a fish

1st, the weather was very good. Moon dropping in the morning, mild temps, lots of clouds and sun, etc… 2nd, my boys got tired of catching fish! 8-10 species with two nice 5-7lbs Red Drum this morning. Mike worked hard for us. Can’t say enough about him and the outfit. Capt. James too. Two thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼

As a family of four, Capt James showed us each a great time based on ages and experience. He was laid back, had a great boat, quality equipment t, and was a lot of fun to be around. What a great day. We left out early to catch a falling tide in lake p. The fish started kinda slow but when that sun got going the trout got going. We h add d a great day and a nice box of trout.

Our trip was great captin James had us on the fish 15min after we left the dock. And stayed on them for the rest of the time fishing. I think we were the only boat that day who caught fish. What a difference 1 day makes sometimes . The high north winds that blew yesterday helped clean water in a few areas. We left camp , shut down and went to catching some nice trout , reds, drum and flounder and channel cats. What a great day. I thank the Wolffs for a great day of catching.

The redfish bite wasn’t on, but Capt. James put us on plenty of fish. We caught and kept 55 fish. Releasing quite a few undersized fish. Capt. James was great from beginning to end. He paid particular attention to my fiancée who doesn’t have a lot of fishing experience allowing me to keep fishing.The boat was top notch.Next time we’re in La. we will be booking again. I still have a redfish to catch. We highly recommend this charter.

What a great day. We left the dock in the new skeeter 240 sx in 34 degree temps. Moved around to a few areas and found the trout. We caught about 125 trout and kept 56. Great day and thanks to Mark and Paula for a great day

After booking the Capt called and asked if there were any special needs for the trip, and about a week before called again to see if we had any questions.That’s great customer service. The morning of our charter my wife chickened out and i went by myself, Had a wonderfull time. The Capt knows his stuff having lived in the area his whole life. The weather was less than perfect, But Capt James put us on one honey hole after another, Got my limit of redfish and the Capt offered to stay out and... More

What a great time. We had really high winds and mostly overcast skies but that did not stop Mr Florek from catching redfish. The bite was very consistent for a few hours . Thanks to the Floreks for choosing Rightside charter
