The weather was gorgeous, and we caught around 40+ fish, including red grouper, a gag grouper, a puffer fish, a lizard fish, an oyster crusher, lots of Key West grunt, a red snapper, and tomtate. Last year was our first experience fishing with Captain Zac and First Mate Ralph, and I wouldn’t book with anyone else! So, this vacation, I booked two trips because our family had such a great time. I have fished with Captain Zac four or five times already over the last 4 years, every time I visit Sarasota.  He is fantastic, personable, and a great person to be around.  He knows how to fish. This trip, we caught around 50 fish (gag grouper, red grouper, lane snapper, sea bass, a couple of grunts and a puffer fish which my eight year old grandson caught).  Gags and Reds were not in season, but we still put 25 on the boat for a couple of fresh dinners. The waters were rough because of rain storms moving through, but Captain Zac was very flexible. We waited for the rain to stop and headed out. We were able to bring home a ton of fish and released many more. It was an awesome experience for our first time out in the Gulf!

My Son and I had the best fishing trip on FV/ Niche my son age 6 had a great time with captain Zac and mate.  After growing up fishing on cape cod bay we wanted to try here.  And this charter did not disappoint with fish after fish being caught.  The crew was very attentive to my son and kept nice conversations with a 6 year old as if he was another mate.  We will be back for sure!!
