This is was a Georgia mother-sons trip to SoCal and this fishing trip was a great one to remember for a lifetime. We caught 9 or 10 fish and they were not biting just outside the bay…stubborn fish - we could see them and we would get bits but no takers! Captain Mike is a season expert in finding fish. I have been on many fishing trips, and I never had a captain so well experience in taking care of his crew in every way possible. My two young kids already wants to come back next week to fish on the Bubba Jean. Karen also made the process extremely simple. The duo of Captain Mike and his Wife Karen were amazing. Karen called the day before to ensure everything was good, answered all my questions and were ready to greet us bright and early in the morning. You can tell Captain Mike’s passion for fishing. Even in the WORST fishing conditions imaginable, Cpt Mike created a really fun trip, and on top of that we even managed to catch a couple halibut and a bass. Super patient with both kiddos and adults. Can’t wait to book another trip with Cpt. Mike for Yellow fin tuna!

Mike was amazing, and Karen is behind the scenes being even more amazing. Great fishing, greater than 20 fish across a number of different drifts. He really helped my son understand how to fish quickly and get some fish in the boat as well. Bay trip is great for novices because the boat isn’t too rocky. Learned lots about the navy while traveling to and from different fishing spots. Would recommend this trip!
