Once again, September in Vancouver saw simply incredible salmon fishing with an abundance of large chinook (king) salmon, as well as great numbers of coho and pink salmon as well. It really was one for the record books. Fall fishing continues to be strong, with good numbers of coho salmon being caught throughout our fishing area, with a few large chinook still left in the mix. October is a transition month for Vancouver fishing, where the migrating chinook and coho run their course by about the third week of the month, while at the same time, our โ€œfeederโ€ chinook begin to show up in bigger numbers. This October is no exception and fall fishing is off to a great start in the Vancouver area!

September is the month when the biggest chinook (King) salmon are caught in Vancouver waters, and this September has already started off with a bang! Sept 1 saw good chinook action for the morning trip as well as lots of activity from pink salmon, and limits of nice sized chinooks filled for the afternoon trip of three lucky anglers! Sept 2 saw continued action with the morning guests catching a couple of nice coho (Silver) salmon, as well as a few very nice chinook - including the biggest fish of the year so far! Truly the fish of a lifetime! With abundant returns of chinook, coho, pink and sockeye salmon to Vancouver waters this year, September should be another one for the record books with many more big fish to come! Letโ€™s go fishing!

The summer salmon fishing season in Vancouver is in full swing, and the weather and fishing has been terrific! Our pink salmon run, estimated to reach over 27million returning fish has officially arrived, and these feisty fish have been providing steady action, which should continue well into September. Good numbers of coho salmon are in the house as well, although some days, the hatchery keepers can be elusive. Chinook salmon have also started to show up as expected, and once again, we expect strong numbers of returning fish throughout August and September. Bottom line -the weather and fishing in Vancouver is hot! Summer spots still available, but going fast! Book your trip today!

Summer is officially here, and summer salmon fishing in Vancouver is off to a hot start! Coho salmon fishing has been on fire for at least the last few weeks with good numbers of hatchery fish in the mix. In addition, pink salmon should start showing up in numbers any day now, as we are expecting a record return this year, estimated at 27 million fish! And if that werenโ€™t enough, chinook salmon returns for the past few years have also been spectacular, and we expect the same again for this year. While yesterday was a little cloudy and chilly for this time of year, fishing in the Vancouver area continues to be terrific this Spring, with good numbers of chinook salmon in local waters. Soon, the coho salmon will start to fill, and the chinook numbers will also grow as the main summer migrations kick in. Once again, both coho and chinook are forecast to have very strong returns this year, and we are also expecting a huge return of pink salmon as this is a dominant run year for the Fraser River - which literally means millions upon millions of pink salmon homing in on Vancouver area waters this summer. All in all, salmon season in Vancouver is in full swing, and it should be one for the books! Book your spot now!

Terrific Winter Fishing and 2025 Outlook! So far, the winter salmon fishing and weather in the Vancouver area has been terrific this season with abundant chinook salmon, clear skies and calm waters! Catches of spot prawns and dungeness crabs, a winter bonus, have also been strong. The 2025 fishing outlook from the Department of Fisheries has also just been released and we are again expecting spectacular chinook and coho salmon returns to this area as the year progresses. As if that werenโ€™t enough, 2025 is also a peak return year for Pink Salmon, which means millions of these scrappy fish will be keeping us busy as well. In short, itโ€™s a terrific time to book your fishing trip in the Vancouver area in 2025! Letโ€™s go fishing!
