Captain John really knows his stuff!!  I highly recommend him.  Super nice boat, dock and equipment. It was a blast. He knows a lot about the history of Port O’ Conner, the old army base on the island and matagorda.  Very educational.  Super laid back and fun. We swam, had a picnic and he put us on the fish!! He’s loves kids !!  My 8 year old daughter reeled up a few reds and other species amd had a ball. Thanks John !  The Richardson’s will be using him only from now on :-)🍺🦈

Although we didn’t limit out.  We had the best time,  we caught over 60 fish, we learned local history, and captain worked hard to let us experience many different types of fishing spots;  Even the two foot waters, watching sting rays.  Best trip ever.  Many more trips I will plan with captain Peters

Captain Jon (Salty Peter’s Guide Service) was GREAT!! From the equipment to Captain Jon himself, it was a 5-star experience!!

Capt. Jon was able to put us on fish for the entire trip.  We limited out on Black Drum, caught several Redfish and a couple of Flounder. He made the trip fun and when we got back to the dock, he was VERY good with the kids that came down to see our catch.  He took the time to create a teaching moment for the kids which was really appreciated.  I would highly recommend this Captain if you are ever in the Port OConnor area.

Captain Peters was awesome! Very friendly and told plenty of funny jokes. The afternoon fish were being difficult to catch after morning storms but he would not stop trying different spots until we caught the limit. His boat is clean, roomy, comfortable and smooth on the water and looked dang good too. I would highly recommend this charter and will definitely be fishing with Captain Peters again.
