After college, I ran hospital revenue cycles until I lost the drive to continue in that career after my father's passing so I moved to the beach and started a yacht charter business. We currently own a 75' Princess and operate a 60' Neptunus. We ordered the 31' Sportsman in July 2022 and it finally arrived in March 2023. We strive to add a family fun fishing and adventure experience that will go with our yacht charter service!
Techniques: Destin provides a wonderful fishing habitat! We love trolling and fishing the wrecks that are only a few miles away from the shore line!

Destin Fishing Report – August 2025 August continues to deliver incredible opportunities in the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village,” and this year is no exception. With our federal permits, we're able to venture well beyond nine miles offshore, unlocking access to prime fishing grounds—not just in state waters. Red snapper season remains open for us, extending through mid-September thanks to our federal charter capabilities. That means clients can still catch and keep red snapper into early fall—don’t let the season slip by! In addition, vermillion snapper are actively biting now, offering excellent bottom-fishing action just offshore. Our offshore grounds are also delivering solid bites from scamp and red grouper, popular for their fight and table quality. And for those chasing surface action, the Mahi-Mahi bite has been strong, with plenty of vibrant, sun-soaked fish coming aboard.

The gulf waters are heating up and that means the fishing does too. The Spanish Mackerel bite has been AWESOME and the kings are starting to show up too! Bottom fishing has been on fire with the vermillion snapper (aka mingos or beeliners), red and white porgys, etc., chewing up bait. We have been catching several trigger fish although many are undersized. The smaller ones still put up a mean fight but it takes about 15 smalls to catch a keeper. As for cobia, the migration has started! They have been on a downward spiral the last ten years are so in the area but they are starting to come back and that is a good sign!

The weather while this person was in Destin was unpredictable. Every day was showing to be clear and we would get crushed with a random storm. They were aware of the possibility of weather and still wanted to go out. We refunded the time that was not used during the trip. I don’t know how the boat could get a 2 star review when it is brand new. I don’t know how mother nature is the fault of my crew. This review is completely unfounded.
