We went out for a half day trip with Captain Lawrence. The morning started off with a bang. The Captain got us on Redfish very quickly. We reeled in several keepers. It was a great experience for the kids. Watching them bring in their first catches of the day was something. We didn’t catch as many as we would have hoped. The Captain never gave up and continued to use every tool at his disposal to put us back on them. He worked well with the kids and answered all their questions. As the fishing slowed down we had more time to just enjoy the lake and atmosphere. We will definitely book with South Texas Fishing Charters again. We would be happy to go out with Captain Lawrence again too.

We booked South Texas Fishing Charters and did an AM trip on 7/7/24.  We caught a ton of redfish including several tanks!  Grilled em up on the half shell the next night and they were delicious.  We had a couple of kiddos in our party who got to catch their first fish and had so much fun.  I knew we must have done well when every angler approached us afterward and saw how many fish we were filleting. They asked us where the heck we were catching all the fish LOL!  Lastly, shout out to our guide, Captain Lawrence.  He knows the lakes well and knew where to catch the big ones.  He made the trip enjoyable for all of us and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a guide in San Antonio area.

We had a great experience, we booked this trip as a gift for our 12 year old and he had a lot of fun. He wanted to fish for his birthday and we are new to fishing. It was an awesome experience for our kids, it was their first time on a boat and really their first time catching big fish.  They enjoyed it and wanted to do it more often. The captain was great involving them in how things work and the best way to do things. We are definitely going to plan more trips with him. Next time we are going to plan a trip between March and July so that they can catch more. We are very grateful that we caught as much as we did. Thank you to South Texas Fishing Charters.
