It was a slow day fishing, but based on what was heard over the radio, we were fortunate to boat two dorado.  Captain Alfredo searched everywhere for fish - Dazante to 65 miles of Carmen.  Alternating between trolling with lures and live bait, he gave us the best chance to hook up on a very slow day.  I’ve fished with him before and will continue to fish with him in the future.

Had a great time fishing with Rubio SportFishing. Booked a last minute trip and was very happy with the experience. Tacho was our captain and you could tell he knew the water like the back of his hand. Ended up catching and bringing home a bunch of yellowtail. They cleaned, froze, packaged the fish, and dropped it off which made the whole experience very smooth. Would highly recommend.

Getting up and getting out to the fishing spot early is the best way to go. Captain and the backup crew were very conscientious about getting the fish prepped rapidly so it did not spoil since it was so hot.

The captain, Alfredo, has local knowledge and was willing to go much further than our first trip, with a different company, because he knew the chances of finding fish at the farther location was better. He changed methods of fishing until we caught fish. We caught many more than the other boats near us. After we returned, the fish was cleaned, vacuum packed, frozen and delivered to our hotel. Rubios sportfishing team of Alfredo sr, sons Alfredo Jr and Roberto provide excellent service. We fished for 3 days with captain Antonio for a second year.who is well versed in fishing and has the local knowledge of the fishing spots in the area. He understands and speaks some English. Was a pleasure fishing with him. Will be back next year.
