We caught 3 Marlin and a huge Wahoo fairly early in the day. The last 4 hours were slow but all in all a good day on the water. Crew was friendly and accommodating.

We had an amazing experience on the Ursula IV! The captain Manuel and first mate Sammy were excellent! They were very professional, interacted with us the entire 8 hours, never stopped looking for a catch, and answered all questions we had. We ended up catching a striped marlin and 9 tuna! Highly recommend.

We hooked a marlin less than 30 minutes from the marina. We caught three large Durado to finish our half day trip.

Captin and crew worked hard to get us on fish immediately.  Caught a Skip Jack right in front of the arch.  Catch lots of fish all day trolling, did some bottom fishing and then went for some big fish.  Had a cooler full of tuna and mahi we brought back for lunch at Captin Tony’s in marina.  Had a great day with my family on the water with this crew.  Would recommend and fish with them again.

Overall, a great day out on the water with the fill-in captain (Emmanuel?) and helper Samual.
The captain worked hard at finding Mahi-Mahi for us (4 people) when charters hadn’t really been catching any.(3 total on an 8 hour trip) We also caught Skipjack tuna and Bonito.
We had two Marlin on but the line snapped both times.
We even had some great encounters with whale!
The not so good part was a couple of incidences involving; first off, the bait fish. We were told $3 per fish online and also when I messaged Olter. When we pulled up to the bait boat, the captain told us $40.00. Later, when talking to other anglers, charters, FB sites, they all said $30.00 was what they paid/charged. We only used about 6 bait fish.
The most disappointing part came at the end when we were to get our fish cleaned. When I asked the crew how much it would cost, the captain said.” We don’t know, you’ll have to ask when you get there.” I know 100% by the way they all paused and looked at each other that they knew. The young man that picked up the fish in his cart, brought us about 2 1/2 blocks away (tipping him too). We paid $5.00 per fish to have our fish skinned and gutted. Then we were told we had to bring it somewhere else to have it de-boned, packaged and frozen. So another 3 blocks back to the other side of the marina (not even a block from the boat) we found out from other anglers waiting and the owner of Gricelda’s smokehouse (Dream Maker) that they pick it up at the boat, filet it, de-bone, seal it and freeze it for $2.50 a pound.

We’re hoping this helps others be a bit more savvy while researching for their deep sea fishing adventure in Cabo, We couldn’t help but feel a bit scammed as we walked away from this fishing trip.
