I can’t say enough great things about Armando. He is friendly, kind, passionate, and knowledgeable. Armando knows the Keys liked the back of his hand. Above all Armando is honest, he will be straight forward and tell you what you might catch, what the weather will be, and what you probably won’t see. Armando has Greta equipment and definitely has earned his five star reviews. Armando is the best fishing guide if you want the best possible experience.

I’ve been fishing with Capt Armanda and A2 Charters exclusively going on eight years now. Capt has been putting me and whoever I bring (consistently) on fish every trip. I can honestly say we haven’t had a bad trip yet. Some have been better than others but he’s always found and put us on fish. His knowledge of the fishery and professionalism makes him the only backwaters Capt I’d charter with…hands-down! His no pressure style and confident demeanor would make even the novice angler comfortable in his boat. If you are in the Keys and want to experience what the the FL Everglades has to offer, Capt Armando Alejo @ A2 charters should be your first and only choice. I will be booking my next trip ASAP and for years to come.

Captain Armando showed us three anglers what fishing the Mangrove Islands, south of Everglades City, FL, on our full day Inshore trip was all about.  His fishing expertise—watching him repeatedly place his cast within inches of Mangrove branches, dropping into a tiny shadow on the water’s edge—was truly remarkable as he did over and over again only to hand me, a real rookie, the rod so I could work the lure and, YES, catch two beautiful, keeper Red Fish!  He was instructive, he shared his expertise and he shared stories of his life fishing with his family and always with a fun attitude, wonderful sense of humor and always made us feel at home on his boat. We fished location after location, earning every fish we caught.  We rookies finally got the casting and lure action techniques down better as he took us to his best fishing locations within the seemingly maze of the Mangrove Islands.  Capt. Armando was all we could ever have wanted in a professional fishing guide and, most of all, he made our experience fun-filled and special.  We’ll be back again, Capt. Armando!

We caught fish all day with Armando! He knew all the spots to take us. We caught 11 varieties of fish!  We went all over the Eveglades and never fished with another boat in sight. He was patient and helpful and had great equipment. It was amazing and I would highly recommend Armando!

Let me start off with the fact that this was the coldest week that Miami has seen in a very long time. Not only is Armando an amazing person to work with but has a great personality and the patience of a saint with kids. Our daughter’s 9 and 12 had an awesome time! They both caught a variety of fish. My wife had a great time she caught her very first large redfish and was stoked!  Armando did his best to put us on fish in some of the coldest water conditions they have seen in years.  Thank you for making this the most memorable part of our Christmas trip to Miami.
