My son and I got up at about 3:00 a.m. We met Captain Jim Miller at the boat dock at 5 a.m. We were ready to go Steelhead fishing!!!! We brought our lunch with us and knew that “Jim” would be supplying everything else. Captain Miller was very welcoming and cheerful, and at the same time he asked us questions to determine our skill levels as it pertained to fishing and more specifically “Drift Fishing”. Jim also explained how drift fishing worked and how we should handle the rod and how to react when a Steelhead took the hook. He also ensured that we both had our proper fishing licenses and punch sheets. He then stated we would have a great time (And that we did)!! The few times that we had mishaps such as a line snagging (Breaking) or even putting on a new bait, Jim would hand us another rod (In the ready) to go on fishing without missing a beat!! While we talked with Jim, we found out that he also devoted quite a bit of time each year to help veterans and those in need!! It just so happens that my son is currently in the U.S. Army and has been for 17 years. I had already retired from the Army. This trip was my surprise birthday gift!! We caught our limit within the first 6 hours or so!!! Captain Miller filleted all our fish!! I personally have fished in over 7 states (Including Alaska) and at least 3 countries. We were so impressed with Jim’s volunteerism that we gave him some fish to pass on to others in need who were unable to fish anymore. THIS WAS MY BEST TRIP EVER!! Jim is a Great GUY, Great Guide, and of course a great Fisherman!!! I will stay in touch with him and hopefully repeat this trip as well as fish for sturgeon and other species.  Thank you Jim!!!!

Jim was great guy and super fun to hang out with. Weve been on several fishing trips where weve felt like the captain was less than excited to take an all female group out but Jim was so pleasant and thoughtful all day. We had rough weather but Jim made the most of our trip. We caught a few small ones and he showed us some beautiful views. If we ever make it back out to the PNW we will be calling Jim again.

Jim Miller is PRO!  Safe, Fun, Courteous, funny & most importantly, Jim Miller is a very experienced fisherman!

We fished hard, caught 1 BIG Steelhead.  The rest of the boats didn’t appear to catch any. 

Tough day fishing in a consecutive day of 90 degree weather 🥵 🌞. 

June 15th was a bit too early for this Steelhead Summer Run, but still a successful trip 😎

One of the best fishing experiences ever! We werent sure what to expect but we asked for sturgeon and we got it!!! You really recieve everything you ask for. It was great to be on the boat with someone with so much knowledge and dedication to make sure we enjoyed every minuet of it!! Theres no doubt in our mind we will be coming back!!!

Jim and Neil were very professional, knowledgeable and patient on our trip. They dealt with all our snags, tangles and lost bait easily and with some humor. We caught a few fish and had a great time. We will schedule with Jim when we go again!
