Captain Jim was great! Completely prepared, on time, communication was top notch and the best part…he did everything he could to help us catch king salmon…and we did!!! We caught TWELVE when no one else seemed to be catching anything. We couldn’t keep them all because you can’t keep the natives but we still ended up taking home way more salmon than we could eat. My mom and dad both caught over 20lb fish and my husband and I caught around 15lb salmon. Captain Jim made it easy. He has everything set up for you and makes it super easy to just sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Except of course when you hook one, then be prepared to reel until it feels like your arms are gonna fall off! But definitely worth it. What a fun day!

Despite two heavy rains we had an enjoyable steelhead fishing experience with guide Jim.  He put us on fish and tried two different fishing methods (new to us).  We caught two steelhead on the trip with two fisherman but only boated one.  The one that got away was an acrobat that flopped over the net, rammed the boat and popped the hook. We went drifting and had most success with divers.  We easily tried 4+ spots on the river.  Jim was accommodating, cheerful and matched our ribbing on the boat.  He was ready for anything and even had an extra raincoat on the boat. 
It was a challenging day of fishing but we will be back to try salmon with some friends.

We had a great fishing trip with Captain Jim Miller! He was right there waiting for us and spent some time priming us for the trip. All of his equipment was ready to go and we got some fish within the first hour. Jim is very good at making you feel comfortable and giving advice in a way that makes you feel respected. He’s also very funny and easy going. From the reactions of other folks on the river, he is obviously well liked as well. You will be happy if you book a trip with him.

His Boat is top notch, plenty of rods, reels and gear ready so we were always fishing! Then
He offered to clean and package up our catch! We, my 10 year old Grandson, 2 Sons and myself are all more than happy with this first time steelhead fishing experience! We had steelhead fish tacos for 10 of us when we got back to our timeshare with only cooking up 25% of todays catch   It was an Awesome day due to Captain Jim and his Fishing Machine and knowledge of the River! We didn’t see any other boats,(about 20)  catching but we were!
