Jim was a great guide. He took us to a spot where the fish were biting like mad and we all caught our limit within three hours. He explai ND the reasons for the depth we were casting to and the type of bait being used. He answered all the questions we asked and made sure the kids had a really fun time. Already planning my next tour out with Jim when I am next in the state—highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time fishing! Jim is knowledgeable, relaxed and eager to help you catch fish! We especially loved how he engaged with our kids (9 and 11 year olds). They were included in everything and they thought he was so funny. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun experience! We can’t wait to eat all the fish we caught.

Captain Jim appears to have a good knowledge of the waters he fish. He pays attention to the weather, tides, regulation and everything that effects fishing that day. I believe he truly wants his clients to be successful. I would not hesitate to fish with him again. However, I would not fish the Columbia River again. Went out on a winter steelhead trip with Mr. Miller and had an outstanding time. We used one technique on the river but he taught me about many more with great patience. All his equipment was prepped and ready to switch out when I snagged some tackle; I never once had to wait for him to re-rig anything.
