We had a good time and a lot of fun. We didn’t find the big fish but we saw whales and a sea turtle.  We caught a bunch of bottom fish and the Ace and Mark worked their butts off to make sure we caught fish.

Captain Ace and Toby worked really hard and were great! My son caught a Blue Marlin!

Great experience! The only thing i could recommend is trying to contact these guys locally instead of through a booking agency, this will save you money while helping out the little guys. Also, speak to them about the kind of fishing you want to do, they will be able to recommend what trip to do and when to do it, to get a bigger possibility of catching the species you are after. Or, just listen to the crew and what they recommend! They will know more than most people.
The equipment, boat and crew are all worth 5 stars! They have extended knowledge, are friendly and very trustworthy.

Hidden Gem is first class all the way!  Captain Toby and guide Mark worker together very well and worked very hard to put us on fish.  Mark absolutely knows fishing and rigging.  Everyone at Hidden Gem has been super professional and very courteous.  John went above and betting assist with logistics and specific needs. 
I have fished many times on long range trips out of San Diego into Mexican waters and also out of Mexican coastal fishing towns and Cabo San Lucas.  While renowned boats out of San Diego are something very special, I know for certain that I would be very privileged to fish with Toby and Mark, anyplace in the world! 
There is something special about Fijian people.  I am impressed with their knowledge, there sincerity and respect and with their work ethic.
Any serious, experienced fisherman cannot go wrong in choosing to fish with these dedicated fishermen!!

Couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water.  Weather as absolutely gorgeous and the water was so calm.  We knew it was the wrong time of year but we had them take us out and try.  They worked every seam and where the birds were and unfortunately we didn’t catch any large predators. So we went and fished deep and got into the Spanish mackerels.  Had a great time and the crew, boat and equipment are what we expected.  Great with the family and they tried everything to get us into fish.  Beautiful water, beautiful day and wonderful trip.
