Took our family out halibut fishing on the 8 hour trip. Not being from the area it was nice to spend the day on the boat and see the sights. We saw whales multiple times during the day and got some good pictures. We all caught halibut pretty quickly after we go the the fishing spot. We trolled for salmon the rest of the trip and everyone had a good time. Would definitely book another trip.

Our captain, John, saw the salmon were not biting. So we relocated and were able to catch our max of halibut. Then we had time to go whale watching, see some sunbathing sea lions, take a gorgeous tour of the icebergs, and watch some bald eagles feed in front of the boat. It happened to be my birthday and one I’ll definitely never forget! Even our 17 year old son had a blast!!!

Captain Terry and crew were very personable, extra effort, obviously have been doing this for a long time and actually care about their customers. Our trip to Juneau has had a couple of very unfavorable situations with a cancelled trip that was not informed to us and issues at our accommodations without a heads up our apology so very happy something finally went smooth. Captain Terry lined us up with a partner Captain, Jan on his orange boat the Petrel. Great experience. Captain Jan and his deckhand/first mate Fin were a fun crew. They were very helpful, knowledgeable, and best of all fun to hang out with for the day. I would certainly recommend taking a charter with them. Plus the Petrel is a sweet boat, new with all the bells and whistles. Plus she can fly if you’re trying to cover some ground and get from hot spot to hot spot.

Was a great fishing experience. The only negative would be that everything seemed very rushed. That may be because we got off the ship later than expected which cut into the time we had to fish. Would love to do it again, but with maybe a little more time.
