Hey all! Fishing has been great to us lately! Fished Monday and in my fishing life I have never seen so many black drum and redfish tailing and laid up on pot holes! Started out our morning missing 7 snook in a row and jumping 9 tarpon! That’s an amazing start! Sun was blocked by clouds and the water was muddy due to the tide being high and the wind so we spooked more fish then ever but when we did actually see them before they saw us we caught them! It truly is just like throwing to the fish you want and watching them eat and knowing you threw at that one only! Fishing will continue to get stronger and stronger as the months go on!

Flats fishing is on fire! We went out a few times this week targeting tarpon, snook, redfish, and black drum all on fly! We ended up catching 3 redfish, 7 black drum, 3 snook, few trout, 3 tarpon and then stayed out till sunset and pulled the hook twice on bonefish and couldn’t come tight with 2 stud permit! Fishing is awesome currently!

Summer is coming to an end! But the fishing however is heating up in the back country! With our bait fish season coming in! Fish are our and about looking to give a customer a fight of a lifetime! Last few days of the week have been grea t! Wind has let up and the fish are happy! Snook, Black drum, redfish, tarpon, and trout are chopping at the bit to eat our baits! We have had consecutive slam days in the back country! My clients have went home with memories and pictures that will last a lifetime! Pictures to come!

The wetther isnt the only thing thats hot right now! Mutilple trips to everglades national park has yielded many trout, redfish and snook! The tarpon are still around with early morning hook up opportunities depending on the weather. Looking forward to a good season! We are all hoping that we dont ger hit with another hurricane! Today I had the fishing company of Casey and his wife Marlena! Started early in the morning by picking them up at their house and heading out to Flamingo national park! It was a day that avid fisherman and captains dream of! Not a breath of air anywhere just slicked out water where you couldn't tell where the sky started and the water ended! We were coming off a full moon wth the moon still in the sky at 7 am I had a feeling fishing would be tough but we still ended up doing great on trout! We started out the morning searching for redfish, snook, and tarpon! We arrived to the flat and these species were everywhere in large numbers! Now that we located them now it was time to try and get them to eat knowing that they probably ate all night long this was going to be tough! We ended up throwing at probably 6 redfish that turned us down every time! Hooked a snook! The tarpon were skittish and not having it this morning! On slick days it's great fishing but it sometimes is thought because it's so calm and the water is so clear these fish see and sense us before we see them! They tend to be a little more spooky! So I decided to scratch that flats fishing because it was getting hot in the water and when it get to hot around 12 the fish tend to be sluggish and aren't as aggressive! So I told them both let's go get some fish in the boat! About a 15-minute run and we got into some mudding in a bag that I've been fishing for trout the last few weeks and have been catching trout on the small size from 14-17 inches but today that was not the case! We caught over 15-20 speckled sea trout and they all were well over 19-22 inches and a few over 22. It's always a great time when you can through a shrimp in the water and catch a trout every cast! It makes for a fun day! We left there to search for the black drum on the way home! But by then the water temp was 97 degrees and these fish tend to hide when the water gets that hot! We did see one poke his head out of the roots of the shoreline but he did not act on our bait! It was getting later in the afternoon! So we headed in around 330! I had to prep for another fishing excursion that night out on the reef for yellowtail! Let's get out on the water!

Got on the water today with Rob and Bob from Oregon! The morning didn't look to great but I knew that these little morning storms don't last long and t has been beautiful afterward! So the rain let up and about stopped we arrived to the fishing grounds and it was slicked out! We started targeting tailing redfish and rolling tarpon! Hooking up with 5 tarpon and 6 redfish. We started moving on looking for snook that have been bedding up in the shallows and we came across a few of them! After catching 3 snook we wanted to go fill the box with trout and snapper! We left and went to a great snapper and trout spotted and ended up getting our limit on both species!
