Managed to get a beautiful sailfish on board for a quick photo shoot, even though by the end of July, the prime sailfish season in the southern Riviera Maya is typically winding down as waters warm and the fish begin their migration. Also, over the last few weeks Mahi Mahi have literally been jumping into the boat. A great time to be out at sea!

Lots of action out at sea during this high season. The Pescado Adventures teams have been working double time to keep up with cleaning lines of sargassum, while pulling loads of Mahi Mahi and quite a few sailfish on board. Both are running hot at the moment. Demand is up and availability limited, so contact us now if you want a piece of the action.

It is definitely Mahi Mahi season along the southern Riviera Maya coastline. Now is when they are running hot. Although this has not been great for beach lovers, Mahi are often associated with floating debris or weed lines, like the sargassum which we now have a lot of in the Caribbean. These floating ecosystems provide shade and cover, which baitfish utilize to hide from predators. This concentration of bait is what ultimately draws in the game fish. So let's get out there and go find some fish!

Been too busy fishing to share all the positive news. :) On this trip we hit the sailfish jackpot and pulled three big ones onto the boat! What an incredible day we had out on our beautiful Caribbean Sea. It was really hard work but the rewards were amazing photos and very happy customers. it is important to note here that this trip left at 12:00 PM, testament to the fact that catch success does not depend on time of day. If you are looking for billfish action (marlin or sailfish), now is the season for it. Contact us to book your day of action along the Riviera Maya coastline.

We had a great time aboard Lobster Tales. We caught 4 mahi, one made it to the boat but didn’t quite make it aboard and will live to see another day. Great crew worked to keep lines fresh and clean of sargassum. The fresh ceviche, sandwiches and guacamole were a perfect afternoon snack too. Thank you!

We had a great time on a 6 hour trip but the 3 of us were worn out and decided to come back 2 hours early. Final count was 24 Dorado and lost 2 others. Several short bites as well. Threw back the small ones and the biggest, and last one we caught, was about a 45 pound bull. A LOT of action and Capt. Leo and the crew were great and worked hard. Will definitely book them again.

It was a good time of year (last week of May). Had a great trip. Caught lots of fish, had lines in the water 10-15 minutes after leaving the dock. Water was a little rough, but nothing insurmountable. Crew and captain worked hard to make the experience enjoyable.

• ceviche was amazing • fresh fruit and guac • they had plenty of water on board • the boat was clean and the kept the boat clean while fishing • Tecate Light was the brand for the beer package • we caught 20+ Mahi & 2 Barracuda (sept 2) • caught the fish within the first 1 hour, so we got to swim and relax in a nearby cove I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to have a professional fishing experience.

We caught our limit of Mahi Mahi in just a couple of hours. Back at port, they cleaned the fish and even carried them to a restaurant so that they could be cooked for us. Highly recommended. Best sport fishing trip to date!
