Captain Nate was excellent. My son and nephew (both 7) wanted to go shark fishing. We hooked up on a 5’+ blacktip and got it to the boat before it managed to slip off the hook. The boys also pulled up 30+ smaller fish each while we waited on sharks. We snuck in some trolling late in the morning and brought in a nice kingfish and barracuda. We are going to plan an offshore trip with Captain Nate next year.

Went on the shark fishing charter for a bachelor party trip, and it exceeded our expectations. We caught a couple of Sand Tiger Sharks and a snook. By far the coolest fishing experience we’ve all had. Thanks again Captain Nate!

Couldn’t of had a better time. Capt Nate was very knowledgeable and personable. After trolling around a bit and catching some Barracuda we went after our target fish, sharks. Capt Nate knew just the right place to go and within an hour or so we had hooked 4 sharks. Just a fantastic trip. My only hope is that he is available the next time I head to Florida. Thanks for the wonderful outing.

Captain Nate was very communicative and flexible leading up to trip. Took a couple kiddos out shark fishing. While waiting for sharks, we were able to fish off the side of the boat for smaller fish. We caught one shark on a day where other boats weren’t getting a bite. Did some bonus trolling on the way in to catch a mackerel and few other fish. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thanks!

My wife and I booked our son a 4-hour coastal charter with Captain Nathan of Checkmate Charters for his 13th birthday.  Our only request was to try and catch a hammerhead shark.  We were not disappointed!  Not only did our son get a hammerhead on his first catch but we caught THREE hammerhead sharks in total, in addition to several Spanish Mackerel.  We had an absolute blast and Captain Nathan was incredibly knowledgeable and a joy to fish with.  I’d highly recommend the Coastal Fishing...
