I booked a salmon/sturgeon trip with my 10 yr old. Captain Taylor was great. We knew going into the trip that the salmon catch was off for spring 2023, as catch counts were really low. But Taylor worked hard and got us hooked up with a springer (unfortunately we weren’t able to land it). We switched gears to sturgeon, which was amazing. She got us in the fish for some non-stop action - my son was amazed. Taylor was prepared, super knowledgeable, had great tackle, and was a wonderful conversationalist. All in all, a really memorable experience. Would definitely book with Taylor again.

It has been years since I have fished for springers, feeling a little rusty, I stepped onto Taylor’s boat that early am….. when I stepped off her boat that afternoon, I was filled with springer confidence and ready to head back out!  Taylor took the time to answer my questions, share her tips, keep our bait fresh on the lines and some great laughs along the way.  We even had a chance to switch out bait and reel in some sturgeon!!!  It was an epic day in the water with Taylor!  She even took the extra steps to brew up some hot beverages while we kept our lines tight!  Her knowledge on the water and handling of the boat made it feel like she never skipped a day out on the river!  I would highly recommend her services …. So grab a friend and book your trip!  I know we will be!!

Taylor was awesome!  From the time you show up at the boat till the time you get out there was nothing but professionalism with knowledge!!  Taylor shares with you what to expect, how to fish and what works.  She shares in the laughs with you and anyone else in the boat.  She even made us hot chocolate as it was freezing!!  Springers were slow so she switched it up to sturgeon (catch and release) to ensure we all got to land a fish!  She is knowledgeable about how and where to catch fish. Highly recommend Taylor!

Taylor worked around our schedule and accomodated our start time. She made an extra trip to pick us up later than the others started since we didn’t want to get up quite as early as the others. Once we were out there we didn’t catch anything for the first 3 hours. Then, she trolled around searching for a sturgeon for us. The whole experience was about us having fun. We finally found sturgeon with about 30 minutes left of ideal stop time. Then she let us stay another 3 hours catching and releasing big, fighting sturgeon for fun. She had bait ready, poles ready, new weights ready, and made sure we had hooks down for as much time as possible. Man, we wore out those sturgeon and even though we didn’t find a keeper, all the photos we got are keepers. Great conversation, great service, great fishing. Definitely worth booking if you like having fun and catching fish.

So the boat was fantastic and in great shape and Capt’n Taylor was GREAT. She taught me a lot of boating, fishing salmon, and we used some great bait. There was a fish finder which showed the fish just lying low. But I should have listened to my friend when she warned me about taking bananas over a boat is really bad luck. I scoffed and went to 7-11 in spite of the warning, picking up two.

Taylor didn’t mind either- but we should have known. Aye- the bananas power was unprecedented… not only were we unlucky without a catch, but so was the entirety of the river! Not once in our 7 hour trip did we see a boat catch a thing. No nets raised overhead, no shouts of joy. Twas a learning experience.

So listen to the warnings, don’t ye bring the accursed bananas on ship for they will not only steal your luck, but all the luck around ya!

Was a good snack though. Next time i’ll bring a sandwich.
