What a great day! My son, his friend, and I booked a 3/4 day charter and after a short run out, we were on the mahi immediately. The weather was very nice - a little rough, but you have to love a SeaVee because it handled like a champ. Captain Wes is a really nice guy and great at finding the fish. Boat was nice and the tackle, equipment, and rigging were great - we had everything we needed to get mahi and tuna. Highly recommended and we will definitely hit up this charter again when we are back in town.

I went on my first charter trip with my Dad on my 12 birthday. In the 34 years since that first trip, I’ve been on dozens of trips out of the Florida Panhandle, San Diego, Mexico, and the Keys. There have been trips where I have caught a few more fish or a few bigger fish. But I have never had a better combination of a quality boat, a knowledgeable captain, a hardworking crew, and the quality and variety of fish species and tactics used to catch them. These guys put us on fish all day, and we caught a great mixed bag using a variety of tactics. We caught a rare queen snapper on a deep drop in 800 foot of water. Our limit of tuna on live bait and drop jigging. And mahi and triple tail chasing floaters to and from the humps. Book these guys. You won’t be disappointed.

That is the exact quote from my husband, two brothers, and my son.  Clay and Drake knew exactly where to go and put them on fish everywhere they went.  They created a great atmosphere, very coordinated , taught techniques, great pointers throughout the excursion. The ‘men folk’ laughed at us asking about their personalities for this review.  But they say they were very personable, answered all their questions, had lots of great information and knowledge to share. They were easy to talk to and made this an amazing day for them.  We highly recommend booking with ‘Just the tip’ you will be glad you do.
