Hello Jerermy nobody in Costa Rica uses 100# test We are an independent eco friendly fishery 30/40# is standard line.  I am sorry they didn’t get your catch beside the boat but you did hook and fight 2 sailfish.  it’s not like the states where they kill the fish for pictures sorry you were disappointed but heavy line you just winch the fish in instead actually fighting it Pura vide and hope your stay is more enjoyable

Chase sorry you feel that way but most boats wouldn’t have let you take kids as young as you did on their boats and at the end of the day my crew caught fish for your kids to have an enjoyable day even after them getting sick and as the picture show they did catch fish for you   It may not have been the type you wanted but they did catch you something as the pictures show.
As far as the owners meeting the boat, most of them don’t ever show up as they do not live in the area or even in the country.  We try to meet each guest, but sometimes we have other obligations and can’t be there. I am sorry for that.  Good luck on future trips
