Perhaps we got spoiled a bit since my grandson myself and Captain Jay were the only ones onboard, but I believe that it would have been very similar even if we had a full boat since Captain Jay is such a personable and knowledgeable host/guide.  While the water had some small swells, it was still quite a comfortable trip and Captain Jay took time to tell us about the lake, the fish species and the various equipment on the boat.  My grandson first caught a very small Salmon which was returned to grow bigger.  Then we had a strike by a (approx) 16 pounder.  The excitement in my grandson’s eyes and watching him battle to bring in the 330 feet of line was priceless, not to mention a good workout for his arms.  Captain Jay provided him with a belt to hold the butt-end of the rod to make it easier for him all-the-while encouraging him.  It was truly a memorable day for both myself and my avid 14-yer-old fisherman grandson.  One that I’m sure he won’t soon forget.  I would highly recommend Captain Jay Wilson’s charter.

Captain Jay & Brandon are experienced fishing guides that do not disappoint. My nephews had an amazing afternoon/evening of fishing salmon with 6 exciting catches. I highly recommend to anyone looking to experience something different in the Toronto area.

Captain Jay and Brandon make a stellar team and creates a magical experience for their guests. We experienced one such one recently. They served 3 generations on the trip and engaged all 3 generations throughout.  They went over and beyond to make this trip a memorable one for us. Had a great fishing trip with Captain Jay and B. Went with my two teenage sons, who were thrilled to catch so many large fish. If we are ever in the area again, I would definitely book with Taymo again.

We had an amazing day out with Jay - he was funny, personable and full of fishing knowledge. We enjoyed Jays company so much and he was so eager for us to catch some big fish - he even broke my sons self described “bad luck” streak and he caught a big fish!
