My wife and I had a great day on the water with Capt. Gary.  Fishing was tough on a very windy day coming off a cold snap.  Gary went above and beyond to get us on some fish.  We covered a ton of water and a variety of locations.  We managed to hook up with some snook and two small tarpon.  Gary is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and highly professional.  Spend a day on the water with him and I promise you are going to learn a lot no matter your level of experience.  We strongly recommend and will be booking again on our next trip.  Thank you Capt. We had a bucket list trip planned, and spent the day with Capt. Gary doing some flats and backcountry fishing.  We had an amazing time and we would highly recommend Gary to any/all who are in search of a fun day on the water.  Capt. Gary is patient, knowledgeable, an excellent teacher, steward of the sport, and conservationist.  He has the eyes of an eagle and an uncanny ability to read the water.  In the span of the day we hooked into a Bonefish, Lemon shark, Bonnet-head shark, Mangrove snapper, Jack, Snook, and Redfish.  We also saw tarpon (but I spooked them with a high cast).  We also saw dolphins, stingrays, and to cap the afternoon - we rescued a green turtle on the way back to the dock. 
We had fun!  We learned a lot! … and we will definitely be back to see Capt. Gary again !!!

I can’t say enough about captain Gary.  I have hired several guides over the years.  most are great, but Gary was just that much better.  he not only put us on fish, but he also helped my son build confidence in his abilities as a young angler.  His instructions were great and well-articulated.  No help needed for my son, he hooked and landed fish on his own.

We caught several fish!  mainly Tarpon and snook.  We saw dolphin, several types of sharks, barracuda, huge crocodile, and had a blast netting Pilchers.  All this in a half day trip.  Gary really went above and beyond for my son and me.  I will definitely hire him again on our next trip to the keys.

What a great day on the water with Capt Gary! Fishing started out a little tough but we a little persistence we turned it into decent day! Capt Gary is a wealth of knowledge about the area and a great ambassador for Islamorada and the surrounding area. In addition to having a fun day fishing we learned so much about the area and ecosystem. When we come down here again we will book our trip around his availability.
