The first thing our captain said when we boarded the boat was that fishing was poor because of El Nino. But effort and skill can change your luck too: the captain failed to changed/switched the bait or lures in six hours and played music very loudly (which the fish can sense and we could have done without).  Other boats were successful for Mahi-Mahi and Marlin that day, but after fishing for six hour we didn’t get a bite.  Be prepared to have an expensive tour of Banderas Bay.

Weather canx guarantee…the crew knew I only wanted marlin…weather was so bad we cut the 6 hour trip to 4…should have been maybe 2. Live bait…was zero on board Fighting chair…there were no chairs on the boat at all. I only wanted 1 thing…marlin…that’s it…nothing else…they way over promised and way under delivered.

First time I’ve ever had a captain call me an as**ole. We caught two bill fish - decent for 10 hrs. First one hooked in gut. Second one, standard, I told the captain to release it 3 separate times. He ignored me and clubs it. I called him out - things got tense - real tense. He just wanted to sell it at the dock. Ride home was awkward. He also hit a turtle with the boat. Idiot. We never even got to hold the fishing rod- apparently a fishing rod hooked on to the back of a boat is considered fishing. Kids always wanted to fish in ocean so we went on this trip- boat just drove around the full 4 hours. Never even let us touch the rod- I do not recommend. Didn’t get anything.
