My wife and I love fishing with Capt. Gabriel.  His passion and experience give you confidence that he’s doing everything he can to put fish in the boat. This was our 3rd successful trip in a row with him.  Like a lot of people, we wanted to target marlin and sail fish but the water was too cool to be desire able for pelagic species.  He expressed his honest opinion that we’d be pretty much wasting our time if we targeted those so
we shifted gears and had an action packed day of catching jack crevalle, Spanish mackerel, and bonitos.  The other boats that targeted marlin came up empty.
I love talking fishing and strategy with Gabriel.  His English is excellent and he and his 1st mate make sure my wife is as comfortable as possible.
You don’t need to pay big bucks for a fancy rig to catch fish and have a great time.

We booked an afternoon 1/2 day fishing 🎣 charter as an excursion on a family Christmas cruise. We knew that we were not here in the right season to catch any monster bites, but we had a great time catching Mackerel (Spanish, King, and Sierra). But even better than the fishing was the chance to see so many whales swimming and breaching, multiple pods of dolphins swimming along side of us, and tons of sea turtles. Any day on a boat is a good day. Angel and Ramon took good care of us.

Note: BYOB and snacks. There is a cooler on board, but bring what you need to spend the day out on the water.

Me, my son and a friend fished an 8 hour charter with Angel (Gabriel’s son) and first mate Carlos. Angel is only 19 years old! but did an incredible job keeping those lines tight. When things weren’t working Angel/Carlos switched it up on all fronts: area, technique and lures including a secret lure floated over to us by Capt. Gabriel in a chip bag in the middle of the ocean (how cool!). It’s a panga so don’t expect comfort. But do expect to fish (and catch).

Los Muertos Pier is a crowded, bustling pier with people handlining, federales, tourists and divebombing birds! In all 12 California Bonito, were cleaned right on the end of the pier and turned into sashimi later.

Highly recommend supporting this local family business for their hard work, kindness and expertise in these local waters.

We were fortunate to get such a great crew. We were paired up with the captains son Angel as our captain. We had Spanish mackerel on the hook minutes into the voyage.
Angel took us to a secluded beach and the fishing was steady all day with approximately 20 fish to the boat.

Next time I will book 8 hours and head out farther for bigger fish.

I would request Angel and Omar any time I fish in Puerto Vallarta! They were great guides and they worked hard to get us fish. We had three kids aged 8, 7, and 4 and Omar was especially amazing with them! Thanks guys!!
