Went out with Gabriel and Fernando for the afternoon. They were an enthusiastic team who worked hard to put us on some fish despite quiet waters and no one really catching anything. Things started waking up later afternoon and hooked into a 25lb jack crevalle which was fun to watch my son pull into the boat. A great day on the water nonetheless!

My guys were great. We caught plenty of fish. Not big fish but smaller ones as I booked a 4 hour trip and there is not enough time to get out to Big Fish territory. I recommend an 8 hour trip. You can then get to fishing grounds where the fish are monsters. Never the less we had a blast and saw whales everywhere.

This was my second trip with this charter group. Unfortunately, a cold front came through a few days before our charter. According to the captain, no one caught anything that day. I must admit I was a little disappointed when we were moved from Captain Gabrielle‘s boat to another boat in his fleet, but our captain tried many different methods and locations, but unfortunately, we were skunked for the day. The captain seemed knowledgeable on locations and fishing techniques. We tried numerous locations and even followed bird signs for a while, looking for some action. The captain continued to try up to the very last minute. He did stop to allow us to view giant manta rays and humpback whales while on our journey so it was not a complete loss. Boat and equipment were in good condition. We trolled all day, but it would’ve been fun to take one of the spinning rods and throw a few lures just to see if we could generate some interest. I’m sure we’ll try again with Captain Gabrielle the next time we are in Puerto Vallarta thanks for a great day to captain angel we’ll get them next time as they say that’s why they call it fishing, not catching.

We were so happy we went with tres estrelles. Angel and Pio are great, they put us on fish all day. We caught dorado, skipjack. Triple tail, and even a couple threshers. Very clean boat and experienced staff, fish cleaning included. Will book again. 10/10
