We had to cancel our original trip, due to high winds, and the next day when we went it wasn’t a whole lot better, but Captain Joe thought we could get it done. With 4 ft swells and and 20 mph winds, we headed to the edge of the reef. This was our first fishing trip and Captain Joe Snyder and first mate Jessica were an amazing team. They made us feel very comfortable explaining how we were going to fish, handle the fishing gear and emphasizing safety first when moving around the boat. We caught a dozen Mahi Mahi, with 6 being keepers. My wife caught the largest at 8 pounds. We also caught three nice size tuna. Jessica cleaned all the fish separating the fish in various ziplock. I brought my son, my brother and my brother’s son-in-law here.  It was a big deal before my son goes into the navy. What a great experience. Captain Joe and the mate worked ceaselessly to give us the best fishing experience we’ve ever had. Caught a sailfish, big fish, other fish, more fish. Their work and expertise produced a terrific time.

We have been on a lot of chartered fishing trips, and Captain Joe and Derek are the best. We caught a ton of fish. They were fantastic with our 12 year old son. And the boat was the perfect size and well maintained. I think Captain Joe talks to fish because he knew the best places to go.

Derek was very knowledgeable, a lot of fun, and he helped teach our teenage boys how to catch bait fish, barracuda, and run a fishing boat.  Would highly recommend an outing with Derek!
