Techniques: One of my favorite fishing techniques involves trolling with planer boards with both live and artificial baits. I find that this method produces a better quantity, quality, and variety of species. Generally it allows me to have up to 6 simultaneous bait presentations which means more fish in the boat for you!! The early morning bite was almost non-existent, but the fish turned on (unexpectedly) about noon. Surface water temperature was 87-88 degrees and all fish were taken at 16-22 foot depths over deeper bottoms.

A very hot, slow fishing day on Chickamauga. Lots of fish marked, but most had a case of lockjaw. Did manage to get a few crappie, largemouth, yellow bass, channel catfish, and blue catfish.

My son and I had a fantastic fishing trip. We caught a bunch of fish including a huge crappie and drum fish. The captain was very knowledgeable and had great equipment. It was a cold day and the captain even offered to give me his coat because I was very under dressed. Looking forward to coming back and going out fishing again. Highly recommended.
